This might have already been here. Couldn't find it so here it goes...

If..!! If a movie is ever made on this gem, who would you love to see playing the characters? Here's my possible list:

Dalinar: Liam Neeson
Adolin: Orlando Bloom / Chris Hemsworth
Sadeas: Mark Strong
Navani: Catherine Zeta Jones
Jasnah: Natalie Portman / Rosamund Pike
Shallan: Emma Stone / Jennifer Lawrence
Kaladin: Can't think of anyone who is around 19 and would be able to justify his character.
Wit: Benedict Cumberbatch / Nathan Fillion

What do you guys think?

I can see that, I hope a movie is made!!!

It is interesting how different people imagine the charactes. Most of them are supposed to have darker skin and blue eyes. Not so easy to find, so some compromises are necessary.

My cast:
Dalinar: Bryan Cranston

Kaladin: Jan Uddin or Avan Jogia

Shallan: Sophie Turner or Ivana Baquero

Adolin: Theo James

Jasna: Priyanka Chopra

Sadesas: Sean Bean

Renarin: Masam Holden

Wit: David Tennant

Syl: Ksenia Solo

Lopen: Mackenzie Crook

Rock: Deobia Oparei

Moash: Max Irons

Teft: Sam Trammell

Elhokar: Ben Barnes

Navani: Sarah Parish

Kabsal: Eugene Simon

Amaram: Alexander Siddig

Szeth: Elijah Wood

Echonai: Danai Gurira

Bightlord (forgot his name, the one Shallan stays with: Timothy Spall

Some scribes/ Adolin's girlfriends: Jessica Parker Kennedy, Nathalie Emmanuel

And Mahesh Jadu should be in it somehow.

I think Liam Neeson would be awesome as Dalinar. There would have to be someone who makes contact lenses full time to change the cast's eye colors.

Lol. Personally, I keep imagining David Tennant as Wit, mostly because of his performance as Hamlet (ca. 2009 with Patrick Stewart as Claudius), really funny, especially when Hamlet's (maybe) pretending to be crazy.

My take in the casting:
Dalinar: Liam Neeson is a good choice.
Adolin: Henry Cavil / Alex Pertyfur / Chris Evans (I did a lot of research on this one)
Sadeas: Rufus Sewell / William Dafoe
Navani: Monica Belucci
Jasnah: Racheal Weis / jessica Connely
Shallan: Emma Stone
Kaladin: Rupert Friend / Tom Felton / Hayden Christiensen
Wit: James Marsden

Kaladin: Jeremy Irvine. Or, maybe Kit Harington

Shallan: I instantly thought of Saoirse Ronan for Shallan; maybe Sophie Turner?

Dalinar: My personal favorite is Sean Bean

Adolin: Maybe Max Irons?

Sadeas: Cary Elwes

Elhokar: Richard Madden

Renarin: Asa Butterfield

Jasnah: Eva Green

Navani: Monica Bellucci

Syl: Bella Heathcoat

Wit: David Tennant!

Indeneri, you nailed it, I guess. Apart from your choices for Kaladin, I would love to watch all other actors playing the parts. Specially Jennifer Connelly, James Marsden, Henry Cavil (perfect for Adolin)... How about Kevin Spacey for Sadeas?

Guys. The only white character in all of The Stormlight Archive (so far) is Szeth. The only one. Why all the white actors?

Granted, the races don't match real races directly, but the Alethi should generally look Indian, more or less (though with pronounced epicanthic folds, which tends to be rare among Indians).

That said, I always imagined Sebarial as Ray Stevenson. But still, he's an Indian/Asian Ray Stevenson because that's what these characters look like.

Tobey Shallan is white. And any way, I'm pretty sure have tanned skin but not really like Indians. They don't live in a particularly warm climate so they pr ...more

Hands down, Sean Bean must play Dalinar.

Franziska, your selection is amazing! I love the actress you choose to play Jasnah

I think major of us imagine the character like white people haha

I´ve tried hard to follow Brandon´s description, but I cant stop imagine Kaladin as a blond man
