The Hunger Games was one of my first real YA Dystopia reads, way back when. I read them all multiple times. Shadow of the Wind - I have book #4 on my Nook, waiting for me to read. I read them multiple times, as they each came out.
Clan of the Cavebear - I loved every story in every book, even if the last one or two did wander all over the place. Are you going to continue with the series?
I'm still on the fence about The Haunting of Hill House for the horror task. I keep seeing it in my library audiobook list as "available". I just do not do horror well.
Clan of the Cave Bear is one of my favourite books ever! I agree with Cherie though, the last two of that series didn't live up to expectations. The hunger games was a weird experience for me. I never thought I would get hooked on a series about children fighting to the death! I only picked it up because my son kept nagging me to read it and turned out I couldn’t put it down. Did you know she's written a prequel? I think its coming out out later this year.
I agree with both of you about Hunger Games! I decided to read it because it was on a list the BBC made about novels that shaped our world, but I was feeling meh about reading it, but I thought it was fantastic! I read a fair bit of YA, but there are things about the genre that annoy me and the hunger games avoided them. The love story read as real and complicated and not cringey like most YA love stories and Katniss isn't constantly underestimating herself while actually being awesome like most YA heroines. And I am totally going to read the rest of Earth's Children series this year. I've been wanting to for ages. I'm focusing a bit on series this year
I'm also trying to finish a few series this year - and to avoid starting so many LOL Enjoy the Earths Children :-)

I read Clan of the Cave Bear many years ago, I remember loving it at the time. I definitely need to re-read it, it will be like a fresh read as I can't remember it... and then I can go on to the rest of them... thanks for reminding me about this series!

When you complete badge 3, we'll move the stragglers over to badge 4. Report everything beyond badge 1 & 2 as badge 3 for now. I think one mass move is easier than moving books back and forth.
