Characters can have at max two special powers, preferably just one though if they have one. Tribe powers (Things like venom, changing color) don't count as special powers, but things like firescales and being an animi do. And for the sake of the fact that some of the canon characters are still alive in the universe, I would rather you don't, but accidentally using the same name as a minor canon character is fine! (As far as hybrid powers go, I addressed that in the first post)

Hmm, you cold try searching through the comments you've made in this group to try and find the dragon? That or you could try the search bar, though it's not extremely accurate. Try a search with whatever you remember about the dragon, and then include like "Name: Age: Gender:" in your search even if you don't remember it? (it need to be written however you write your templates though, or it definitely won't work)

So i dont expect anything to happen by me saying this, but i dont think there should be a very strict limit on characters with powers. Say someone is in two role plays, and they want to have an animus dragon in each one. They cant because of the limit, even though role plays almost never cross over one another. In my opinion, there should be a limit for how many characters with powers there are in a role play, not a total limit for everything.

@Liv I don't really understand what you mean, if you have a scavenger character that you don't want to rp anymore (and that has been approved) you can post it in the Character Adoption topic? Or do you mean a topic where you could ask for someone's dragon to adopt your scavenger (as a pet)?

@Nick You've already created four hybrid dragons, so unless you put (at least) two hybrids on adoption, or remove them from your characters, the answer is no.

Also @Isabella, you can make however many characters you want to, but it's recommended that you only make as many as you can keep track of.

Can I make a change to a character that is already approved? I was thinking of changing Pearl's (Baby SilkWing Pantala page 6) name to Pearlescence? That seems more like a SilkWing name.

I have just a quick question. This was probably already asked but I just want to make sure without having to look through four different pages.
Q:
If I were to make a character with a special power such as mindreading, leafspeak, etc. Would it still count if the power was so much watered down that the ability would barely even be there?
For Example:
If I were to make a NightWing would was born under two moons BUT they were inside when it happened. Revolving in them not being able to read minds but they could read emotions and feelings. Would this still count?

First off, Welcome to the group!

Secondly, The place where you get your OCs approved is in the Character approval sections. The Pyrriah Character Approval link is here -> https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... OR you can just scroll down until you go to that folder. And heads up, the mods will need a little more info about your character. There is a template on the first post, but you can add other things to it as well (Family, etc.)

Could we remove mindreading from special powers? Nightwings don't have any powers otherwise and it would be hard for people if they had no powers. And mindreading is a pretty common Nightwing power.

@Isabella Being as the current SandWing queen is Queen Thorn, I'd say no (so that canon characters can continue to be used by most people)

@Rosebud - I count all moon-given powers as special powers, because most dragons (even within the tribe) likely wouldn't have it. If you're worried about your character not being interesting enough we have a topic here! (Skill Workshop, Approval Folder)
The topic has suggestions for jobs your character could have, and exists so people can help you make your character more interesting without your character relying on special powers.

NightWings still have the ability to blend into shadows and night sky as well as breathing fire.

@Parker Posts in this group must remain appropriate for a 13-year-old to read, as that's the minimum age to join goodreads and Wings of Fire is marketed towards a young age group. Injuries and blood are okay as long as they remain under or around the same level of description in Wings of Fire. If you adopt a dragon, you should post its template in the appropriate approval topic with a mention that you adopted it (preferably in bold or caps!) Characters who were made before the stricter rules on personality and appearance length can be left with whatever personality and appearance they have, but I recommend that you expand on their personalities and appearances so they at least fit the minimum.

Can a dragon from Pyrrhia live in Plantala?

Yep! Pyrrhian dragons are welcome to live in Pantala, and there are guides that can lead dragons from either continent to the other side (for a price) Templates for Pyrrhian dragons living in Pantala should probably be placed in the Pantalan approval topic rather than the Pyrrhian one, to avoid confusion on where they live.

Before I start playing is there a way for your character to become royalty? I'm asking for character reasons.

I prefer if users ask before creating a character that's royalty, especially if they're very closely related to the throne (so that I can update the Royalty topic) but as for characters becoming Queens or Kings you would have to have the approval of all the mods, as that is a huge plot arc.

Hmm, I think that is a glitch. If you see your character’s name in whatever winglet you want her/him in, then you are accepted
