Not going to move to Yamhill County, Oregon any time soon, huh? I go through Yamhill and Carlton on the way through McMinnville when I am going out to my daughter's home in Sheridan. If you are rich enough to buy property and build a winery all is good, but housing prices are through the roof still and a single family without two members that earn a significant wage are out of luck owning a home, if they can find one that is not a two room shack. There are no apartments out there either.

That is really funny that you mentioned winery because the authors of the book have bought a winery there. They said "to help employ people in the area" (one of the authors grew up in Yamhill). I'm sure a little profit is a motivator also!! The book was actually interesting, but the delivery not so much.
