I liked it overall. The first half was really good. I don't know anything about the Spanish Civil War and the story line was riveting. It was the second part that lost the story element and I felt like I was just being told about historical events in Chile without a story context. I found myself skimming the end.
Her books can be a hit or a miss for me. I think I'll hold off on this for now. Thanks. :)

What did you think of American Dirt?

Trust me, if it was as dangerous as what the book asserts, they wouldn't be there. But there is some truth - Acapulco is currently not safe because of cartel wars.
