I did read the books and yes, they changed just about every character except for Stephan and Matt.
Elena'a suppose to be blonde with blue eyes. Bonnie in the show fits Meredith's description in the book. There is NO Meredith. Matt's suppose to be friends with Stephen. Matt and Vicki aren't brothers and sisters in the book.. let alone they have completely different last names than the show. Elena's aunt name is suppose to be Aunt Judith not Jenna. Elena's suppose to have a 4yrs. old sister Margaret, not a freshman druggie brother (although he's cute), and why does Caroline seem like she's bff with Elena and Bonnie in the show? Frenemies??? They weren't even that in the books?

I have read the books and I LOVE the show...if you can watch it without comparing it to the books it is actually pretty darn good for a CW show.

I actually enjoy the show more than the books!!! I'm glad Elena is brown hair instead of the typical blonde hair, blue eyes, popular girl in school, & she's not annoying to me like she is in the book.

With that said though.. I hate the fact that Caroline is with Damon in the show. I can't stand her! I also wished that Meredith was in the show too!

Yes I like the Elena on the show way better than the shallow girl in the books and I hate the fact that Caroline and her are friends...yuck!! And I wish Meredith was there she was a really strong character in the books.

How could there be NO Meredith, I LIKE Meredith. And I hate when they change the looks of the characters, Elena's blonde, Blonde, BLONDE!!! They totally ruined the picture in myhead, but anyway, how's the show? Is it any good?
