Yet another how do you? from me. I hope this is the correct slot. I did dither between here and Chitchat but it is a straightforward how do I?

I have several boards on Pinterest and after setting them up and adding to them I came back today to add some more pictures and some of my posters for Pinterest which I make with canva.com
BUT
I cannot find how to post these pictures. I can go to my board but there isn't the usual blank space at the top you can fill with a new picture. I have tried every button and tag from the top of the page to the bottom but I cannot find out how to open up a blank space on the board ready for me to post a photo/picture/whatever.
What have they done? I swear there used to be a little menu on the top left and you worked the boards from there.

Anyone know?

Are you wanting to create a pin yourself?

If so, I think you go to your profile, click the tab that says "pins" and then there should be a blank pin in the top left that says 'create pin'.

Or is that the box you're no longer seeing? Sorry, I've never done it before so can't help any more than that.

Phew! Finally got it. Bless you, Erica. And yes, for some reason - like not signing in I expect - I couldn't get in. I HATE technology and websites which are so difficult to get around. LinkedIn is a shocker, Mailchimp drives me nuts at times too.

Why can't the designers have a nice simple Create a Pin button which appears when you sign in and look at your boards?

I’m doing the patient bookcase dweller challenge and don’t know how to change my total of books read for the challenge. I’ve read 1 book so far and added it as a comment but obviously that’s not the way to change the total 🙂 I see one person has read 2 books and her total says so and when I went in for a look her books were at the top. Help anyone?

How to block someone on Goodreads.

1 Go to their profile page.
2 Click on more
3 Among the options there is block this user in red. Click on that.

For some reason Goodreads made the procedure for Goodreads authors a bit different.

1 Go to the authors profile page.
2 Scroll right down to the very bottom & you will see block this member(?) in very faint pale grey. Click on that.

I want to update my book blurbs, reviews etc but cannot. I am signed in and in my dashboard but making changes seems impossible. Why is this. Does anyone here know?

Hi pdr - only authors can see their dashboards. I do know that authors cannot edit their book descriptions now. GR doesn't confide in librarians but it is probably because some authors were putting links in the descriptions - & some of the links were spam.

I can change the descriptions for you if you like. Just link to the book & tell me what you want.

I don't know why you would have a problem with reviews - but this site is even buggier than usual at the moment. You might have to contact Support about that.

I agree that the site has a few bugs. I don't even get a chance to ignore friend requests it just accepts them anyway then won't let me get rid of the notification. I emailed the support people and they replied saying they are working on the problem.

I give up! I have new covers and new blurbs, new reviews and I can't add them to my own books!

Goodreads is so slow and clunky now no wonder author friends tell me to use BookBub.

Lesley I've been trying since I last screamed and still no results. I can't ask you to enter all those new covers and reviews and details. It would take forever.

Carol, I am about to tackle support. I've better things to do than waste writing time here.
