Looking for a book series that I read back in the mid-90s where the antagonists were a group of vampires. Rather than actively hunting humans, they operated a chain of blood banks, and siphoned a portion of donations for their own feeding. The protagonist was a kid who was trying to expose the existence of vampires.

US English; series was ongoing at the time (so possibly started late 80s or early 90s).
