Adults going to die at a certain time, are educating youth

I read a few sentences and then now can't find the book. Basically the adults were going to die in the next few years (maybe) and were working on educating the youth (under 18 years). Thank you

I think I read the brief summary on either Amazon or my library's page. I think it was intended for adults, but could be YA

Hmm I know it’s probably not this, but it kinda sounds like They Both Die At The End
