I'm looking for a murder mystery, likely by P.D. James or Ruth Rendell -- if not them, then a similar British procedural series -- in which the murder is committed by (view spoiler)[a man in gratitude (and at the request of) a doctor who saved his son's life (possibly a cardiologist?) I seem to remember that the murderer was some sort of tradesman or mechanic (hide spoiler)]. Thanks!
