Happy Book Club Eve, Glam Readers!
Can’t wait to see you tomorrow evening at 6 PM PST/9 PM EST live on YouTube!
Here are our discussion questions for November 9th:
Icebreaker - What is your favorite romance novel?
1. What was your experience reading November 9th? How many romance novels 📙 Would you rate it?
2. What do you think of Fallon’s mom’s mandate that she not fall in love until she’s 23? “You’ll never be able to find yourself if you’re lost in someone else?” (38)
3. Fallon and Ben made an agreement to not follow each other on social media or exchange phone numbers, would this be doable in 2019? Do you think they made a wise decision in not following each other, and only being able to communicate with each other either by landlines or just showing up?
4. What was your reaction to the back story of Ben's mom? Colleen Hoover tackles sensitive issues which are potentially triggering for some readers. Did you find her approach to these topics to be adequately sensitive? How authentic did you find her depiction of real life trauma?
5. Were you comfortable with Fallon and Ben's happily ever after? Did their circumstances make this too much of a stretch?
6. Romance is a genre that tends to be stigmatized as not “real literature” because of the cheesey endings. Is Romance a genre you usually read? Why or why not? Do you feel that the storylines and the happily ever afters are too much of a stretch?
