25 - A book with only words on the cover, no images or graphics

This one technically has some graphics on the far left side, but they're also words, so ...?

I agree, that's a graphic behind the words. I wouldn't count it either. However, I read the book - and it is awesome! I'm not sure it was AS good as Dark Matter, but what is? I loved the premise of this book, and loved the ride while reading it! Enjoy it!

Found this on my TBR, as this has been there for quite a long time. I'll probably go with it"
I read this for a magical realism prompt this year. It's a pretty dark story. But if you like dark and a bit twisted, you'll love it!

I'm going with this one possibly as it double dips with the Bloom Where You're Planted reading challenge for "self-help" I think. Plus, it's short!
(thanks to Neha for teaching me something new!)

To add a book cover you need to click on "add book/author" link above the comment box. Search for the book you want, and then below click on "Cover" to show the cover. And click Add.
Hope this helps :)

Okay--I think of digits as text, but I can see your point given how it is laid out! But I liked Recursion better than Dark Matter :)

as this has the text, but the text also have something inside it... "
It has graphics in the ext, so perhaps not. Plus there is a graphic below the title and the clouds in between some of the letters :)

I am linking a photo from the internet. There are no graphics outside of the actual letters, so it depends on if you count the pictures on the letters themselves.

Maybe one of those "blind date with a book" library specials could work. They are generally wrapped in plain paper with just a description of some sort on the front.
My library has an Agatha Christie collection that has every book with a black cover with the title and author's name on it. The only thing that would disqualify those for sticklers is a silhouette of the author's face on the front.

Maybe one of those "blind date wi..."
Ah, but this is why it's a the popsugar "challenge" :)! At least some have to be a bit difficult.

oh okay ...

Sometimes cover designers grab our attention with a stark cover. Take a look at our Listopia, we've got over 200 books on the list, most of them quite modern.

Ah, that makes sense if you perceive this as a digit (#8?). But it's a symbol for infinity, not a number. So, I guess that's a bit of a nuanced difference. Regardless, I think we are not here to police each other's choices. :) If someone wants to consider it text, I say go for it!

But I probably wouldn't count Recursion because of the maze pattern in the infinity symbol. To me, it crosses the line between "fancy typography" and "graphics in the text."

Oops, I meant to post the cover of the book."
Oh, that's a good idea! I had this book down for another prompt, but now I'm thinking I might switch it here instead.

I'd say this one counts, since the little line things are actually parts of the letters"
Yes, it does.

Hmmm honestly, particularly given the title, I think that really is a graphic of a wave. I probably wouldn't count it.

Erotica:
The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty

I think I'm going with this one since I have it on my shelf:
The Road

Relentless

A book of poems:
The Waste Land and Other Poems

I don't know if this one counts, because of the light:
How the Light Gets in: Writing as a Spiritual Practice

Please, can someone let me know if this one counts? I have two books, only letters besides the rays/lines. Does it counts? If not, I'll read The Road.
I'll Give You the Sun

or?
I'll Give You the Sun

The Sky Is Everywhere

This one Counts???

Hope it helps!! :)

Yes, it counts. Two Boys Kissing has many covers, but there's one with only text.

For example:

It kind of feels like cheating, but the “images” on the cover are made out of words so I’m really not sure

I’d say they count! I totally recommend Every Day by the way, it was a really good book.

I need input, does this book count? I think these are flourishes as part of the calligraphy font rather than graphics. What do y'all think?

Actually, a number of these have graphics, so they don't count.
