E (bloodyeclipse) | 21 comments In the book the main character is a woman who becomes a man but doesn't remember her time as a man. The male himself doesn't know about the change until the woman writes a note to her male persona when she feels herself changing. She has twins, a boy and a girl, who can also change gender but they get kidnapped (for some reason or other, the kidnapper doesn't know about the gender changing). On her way to rescue them, she feels herself changing and quickly writes a note to the male, begging him to save their children. If anyone knows the title of this book please let me know. I read this book sometime within the last three years. Thanks you for your help.

What time period/location does the story take place?

Part of a series?

Anything about the cover?

I don't know about the time period or the cover and it's just one book as far as I know. I believe the book was of the fantasy genre. In the book, I think having 'powers' like the protagonist was not uncommon.

Thaddeusly | 10 comments I thought it might've been part of the Cycler series by Lauren McLaughin, but there only seems to be two of them and the character seems to stay young?

No, that's not it. The protagonist is an adult. But the Cycler series seems interesting, I think I would like to read it. Thanks for introducing it to me!

E (bloodyeclipse) | 21 comments The male also doesn't remember what's been happening while the female is out and the switches between the two happen years apart and is uncontrollable. The twins are newborn and they are being taken care of by a servant in the kidnapper's home. The servant finds out about the twins changing gender but doesn't tell the kidnapper about it.

Mary (marissa_214) | 131 comments This is absolutely not it, but The Enchanted Life of Adam Hope has a gender-switching character. You might enjoy it, or it might help if you look for books like it or something...

I'm not very interested in romance novels, but I think I'll give this book a try and put it on my to-read list. Thanks for recommending it to me.

I wouldn't call this a romance in the traditional sense. I hope you like it!

Polymorph as a possibility? I have no idea if it's even close--I was trying to remember the name of an old sci-fi that I read with a somewhat similar plotline, and this was one of the titles that popped up.

Anastacia (Anastaciac) | 2 comments "Ice Song" by Kirsten Imani Kasai? Ice Song Picked it up but haven't read it yet, but gender changing twins were definitely a part of it.

That's the book! Thank you soooo much! It's a good book, you should definitely read it. I didn't know it was a series, the second book sounds interesting. Thanks again.

Thanks, but that's not it. It has been solved, it's 'Ice Song' by Kirsten Imani Kasai. It's a good book, you should check it out. Polymorph sounds good, I've put it in my to-read shelf. I'm looking forward to reading it. Thanks again!
