ABANDONED. Book, i believe it has wings in the title

I'm looking for a book that i read roughly 20 years ago for a friend that i believe it will resonate with.

The book: while i can't remember the title, it's a book about a mother who puts everything before her daughters. It's fiction. It's from one of the daughter's point of view. It catalogs various abuses and the effects it has on all of the kids. it's all about a girl. A single mother who puts literally everything before her kids, rather abusive mother/ daughter relationship

Everything is more important than her daughters. She neglects her kids while bringing them into bad situations.

Found one online that I'm not sure fits your description but there is abuse and it has the word "wings" in the title so I'll mention it just in case!
Before Women Had Wings by Connie May Fowler. It was first published in 1996 but there's at least two more editions before 2000.
