Favorite Character(s) and Why

Okay, yes this is just an excuse to ramble about my favorite character, but I am also curious to see how others' did or did not connect to the cast of AILD. This is especially true as in my first reading of the book, most of my favorite character(s) would go on to become my least favorite/most hated by the second read.
So, post below who your favorite character(s) are from AILD and why you find them particularly enjoyable/interesting/loveable(?)/great to hate, and so forth.
My personal favorite is without a doubt Jewel. His complexity and his inability to be vulnerable/show how deeply he cares without aggressively masking it all really works for my love of tortured idiots. That he is also constantly caring about people and sacrificing/endangering himself for others all whilst telling them 'goddamn you' just goes right to my heart, especially since, given his father, can anyone really blame him for not trusting others not to take advantage?
