Welcome back!! We missed you :(
But it looked like you had an amazing trip.

You know what you need to get back on track?
Ghosts. Yep, definitely ghosts. >:-)

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12573 comments Missed you Joi! Hope your trip was all you hoped for! Whatever you need to do to get back into the swing, no judgement. I have been behind on my goal of # of books all year-decided to just let it go read what I wanted to read-that's best for the soul!

Joi (missjoious) | 3970 comments Thanks guys- I knew I had been away along time when I couldn't remember what the monthly tag was, let alone the horizon location!

We were in Portugal and Spain (both had horizons months this year, luckily), and had an absolutely amazing time. It's a miracle I didn't gain any weight I ate EVERYTHING. Lol.

For my bookish friends, we did visit the Livraria Lello, or the most beautiful bookstore in the world in Porto, as well as the Guinesss Book of World Records Oldest running bookstore in the world, the Bertrand Chiado in Lisbon. I plan on making a footnotes posted with pictures of Livraria Lello once we get our pics downloaded and am a little more situated.

JK Rowling was living in Porto when she was inspired to write Harry Potter, so there were many influences we saw- from statues, to the college students who wear capes and robes, to historical figures (Salazar)- it was so much fun to spot the Potterisms.

If anyone wants to see pics, facebook and instagram are probably the best way, PM me if you want to be friends in either location :)

Joanne (joabroda1) | 12573 comments Oh Sounds like a heavenly trip Joi! So glad you were able to convince your husband to visit those book stores (I think I remember he was not so into that?, I could be wrong)
