Genevra Thorne | 15 comments Hello Readers & Reviewers,
I'm looking for some reviews for my fantasy romance The Beloved, Book Two in A Faerie Tale series.

Blurb:
Lord Ashton of Aethyria is enticement, seduction, temptation–born with the power to strip even the most modest woman of her gown, her will, and her virtue. With the glamour of being born a half Daoine Sidhe faerie comes the sad fate that once a woman has gazed into Ash’s eyes, she forever loses the ability to see anything other than his ravishing beauty, and can certainly never glimpse into his soul. Ashton’s allure is so raw and enchanting, in fact, that he has exiled himself from even the human side of his family, lest his own aunts be tempted by him, and lives a life of solitude and fleeting passions. But he is part human as well, and it is his human blood that makes him long for a magic no faerie spell can equal. It is his deep desire for true love that leads him to keep his magnificent face hidden from the woman who captures his heart.

Eden is certain her nightly visitor is as disfigured as she, since he keeps his visage shrouded in shadow when he comes to her room. Scarred by fire, she believes herself ugly until Ashton’s tender kisses and gentle touch begin to teach her that true beauty comes from within. It’s an important lesson, since Ash knows that soon he must reveal himself to her. He prays that she can look beyond his unearthly beauty and see the heart of a man.

I have 10 PDF copies to offer up! UPDATE: I now have Mobi and ePub versions available!
Reviews should be posted in two weeks on Goodreads and Amazon

Anna Castiglioni (annacastiglioni) | 3 comments I have written a short called "Plan to PLANTed: Landscaping your home in southern California." In my book I offer professional tips on planning and designing your landscape. Though the plants I suggest are local to so-cal, the planning tips can be applied anywhere. Landscape Architecture and landscape design has been my profession for over 10 years.

I would like some reader reviews, and of course it is my great hope that they will be honest and very positive. The book has been sent to my editor, and in the meantime I'd like some people to read it and give feedback before I publish. It's a little over 9000 words, so when I make the audiobook it will be about an hour long.

Thanks.

Chris | 3 comments Hello group members,
I am looking for honest reviews of my first book, "Dad, You Were Right: Reflections From a Stubborn Son".
This book is a reflection of lessons learned and memories from my Dad, who passed away from a brain tumor at the age of 54. This book recounts the advice given by him and lessons learned the hard way from not taking it! From humorous to heartfelt, I recount the lessons learned along the way while growing up and how I incorporate them into my own life with my kids.
I can send as a gift item through Amazon, just inbox me your email address (won't add to any lists or spam you), looking for honest reviews to Goodreads and Amazon.
Thanks!
Chris

A Sterling Proposal by Sonia Parin

Hello Readers/Reviewers

A Sterling Proposal is part of a series (book 5), but can be read as a stand alone. I’ve branded my books as Light, flirty & fun. Sexual content is euphemistic.

Title: A Sterling Proposal (A Town Named Eden Book 5)
Author: Sonia Parin
Genre: Contemporary Romance/Romantic Comedy
Link Amazon: http://amzn.to/1Qa9RNr
Link Goodreads: http://bit.ly/24uNc5R
Length: 176 pages
Chapter 1: http://soniaparin.com/a-sterling-prop...

Synopsis/blurb

New Yorker Zoe Wilde is determined to bond with her half sisters and finally have the family she’s missed out on. But first she has some loose ends to tie up. The family she’s inherited has been passing the buck for generations, now it’s up to her to dispose of the Wilde building; a remnant from the past. While she’s at it, she also has to restore a shredded reputation, win the hearts of the townsfolk of Eden and convince Luke Sterling to buy her out.

When she takes a miniature poodle and an alpaca to a cattle dog trial, local cattle baron Luke Sterling knows life will never be the same. However, he doesn’t think she’ll last longer than a week living in the small country town, especially if the thunderclouds that have been threatening roll in. Her roof leaks.

A coffee overdose, some goats and a hankering for a baseball game prove Luke right, Zoe doesn’t belong in Eden. But springing to her rescue at a fundraiser, his feelings are exposed prompting him to break the stalemate between their families and prove Zoe’s found a place in his heart.

I am quite vexed over this.""

Well, in fairness, I do now see a kind of "review" of my book. However, it is very vague and says nothing about the story or themes. It's also written in "over-eager" English. A bit ungrammatical, and too enthusiastic for me to believe he actually read my five hundred page slog.

I should be seeing things like "Amazons! Lesbians! Theodicy! Sweet hot Nymph on Gorgon love!" or "I've read worse fan fiction." Not, "This was a good book! He is a good writer! I am enlightened by his writing!"

Still-- If I am wrong, and I did misjudge, I will publicly apologize. But so far, I see no reason to do so.

I'd like to add my self-help novel, "Learning to Stutter" be Sherm Davis. Vital reading for any fluent person with a loved one who stutters, the novel uses an experimental syntax to highlight the neurological component of an often baffling and bizarre syndrome with no known cure -- stuttering.
Free .epub or .mobi copies to anyone willing to review. Special consideration given to people who stutter or with family members who stutter.

Priya Narayanan (priya_narayanan) | 1 comments Hi everyone,
I am Priya Narayanan, a children's author with two published books to my credit. I would like both my books to be reviewed by anyone who loves kidlit or had kids who could read and review them.

My first book The Moon Wants To Be Spotless White is a fun adventure where a little girl sets out on a mission to rid the moon of his ugly spots with the help of the village washerman. The story is set in small town India, but has a subtle moral takeaway that is universally relevant.

My second book When Grandma Climbed the Magic Ladder deals with the delicate topic of death of a grandparent.

Do message me with your email id so I could send you a review copy (pdf) of the book you choose to review.

Thanks for your patience reading this :)

Mary L. (maryrnbsn) | 4 comments I, too, have a two books I need positive reviews on. One is a memoir, When Angels Fly, and the other is a god touch/bad touch book fully illustrated for both children and educators, Suzy Has A Secret.

Suzy has a Secret teaches children, ages four to eight years-old, about personal safety and body ownership, and explains how to identify who safe adults are in a child’s life. This book shows in positive and practical ways how parents, and educators, can talk to children about personal safety. Children learn about bad touch and good touch, and how their body belongs to them. Parents and educators can help children learn who the safe people are in their lives, and that they can always tell one of them about anything that may happen, and they aren’t comfortable about. Using little bug fairies and fairy houses, ensures that children aren’t scared when this story is read to them, or they read it on
their own. This is a 10 minute read book and I would give each reviewer a mobi file. For, When Angels Fly, is a true story, survival
fraught with tragedy that will hold your soul. In utter sadness, great hope & faith grows. This is the inspirational story about
a woman who was able to rise above an extremely abusive childhood and later marriage, to learn faith, love, and motherhood from her own son’s courageous fight with cancer. It provides an
illuminating example of how women who are in physically, mentally and emotionally abusive relationships can successfully escape even in the most challenging of times. It also warns
of how the actions of medical professionals can be a soothing balm or a deadly arrow. The story draws the reader into the life of a mother and her wonderful little boy who is strong beyond his
years and who leaves a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Links for both books are as follows:

http://tinyurl.com/zzdq39m

Thank you, again mobi files would be given to those who wish to do this. Mary aka S. Jackson

Thank you for creating this forum, it's definitely a great idea. So saying, I have 10 hard copies of my book to give away in hopes of a review and 20 .pdf versions

It's titled and categorized as horror, but it's actually more on the thriller suspense side (a difference of opinion with my publisher).

It is a collection of short stories along the lines of Twilight Zone or The 6th Sense.

For those requesting a copy, please be aware that one story does contain 2 scenes of somewhat graphic sexual content.

Thank you in advance for your time and support.

message 424: by Walter (new)

Walter Daniels (FBNGroup) | 52 comments I have two requests for the readers of this list. #One, I need six people to taste test some recipes for me. I'm doing a Kindle version of the recipes from the Recipes for Single/Handicapped
cookbooks. In the Soups version, I list a "Basic Cream of . . . Soup," for use in other soups. In the Kindle version, I can't just refer back to that recipe. It also wastes space to keep repeating it, every time it's referenced. So, I've modified all those that use it, by adding a smaller version of the ingredients to the recipe. The problem is that I don't know how it changes the taste, if it does. I'm in a Nursing Home, so I can't make each one and test them. I need people to make both versions, and tell me if they taste different. The only "pay" I can offer, is a name and credit in the Acknowledgements section. If you're willing, contact me at fbngroup at earthlink dot net, Subject "Taste Test." I'll send you a PDF copy of the recipe file. I need the comments back by April 15, to make any changes necessary.
Request #Two, is different. I've written a book about what it's like to be handicapped/disabled, from the standpoint of someone that has to deal with it. My "Target" markets are
Organizations/groups that want to help H/D, as well as teachers of classes for rehab workers, and the "newly" Handicapped/Disabled. There is no information, AFAIK, to help
Handicapped/Disabled learn what they face, and how they can learn to deal with it. Becoming H/D is major change in a person's life, and not easy to adjust to. Knowing what someone else has had to do, to adjust, can be helpful. My thinking is that someone "knows someone," or "knows someone that knows someone," who might be interested in reselling the book. If there is anyone
interested in reading the book (unedited, as of today), to recommend it, or for possible resales (Retail Price around $12), contact me at the same e-mail address above (fbngroup at earthlink dot net), subject: "Disabled not Incompetent."

Thanks,
Walter Daniels

A thriller in the vein of Michael Crichton and James Rollins. In the near future of 2032, the United States is at civil war, the government pitted against domestic terrorists. By law, citizens wear biochips encrypted with medical information made public under the guise of protecting the innocent. Millions flee the country in search of safer shores. But most remain steadfast at home and an underground revolution begins as the country ramps up for the presidential election. Citizens are left to wonder if they should place their trust in the government who robbed them of their civil liberties, or in a terrorist bent on restoring them.

D.C. Triana (dctriana) | 1 comments Hello Everyone,
I'm seeking reviews for my new book titled Sunset Reads William & Cristina (A Sunset Reads Novel Book 1). It is a contemporary romance and it is currently free on KU. I can also provide a free .PDF or .Mobi copy.

Sunset Reads William & Cristina (A Sunset Reads Novel Book 1) by D.C. Triana

Here is a small excerpt:

Cristina stood there, staring at this sexy god, not knowing whether to slap him or drape herself around him. She blinked twice and grabbed his hand in a strong shake. Electricity poured through every cell of her body as his warm hand enveloped hers. She told herself to remember to breathe, “So, you are Mr. Jameson. I’m sorry, but all I know of you is your last name.”
Cristina’s thoughts went back to her romance novels, when the heroine meets the man of her dreams and everything goes perfectly well, and she knows exactly what to say and how to react... Well, it’s not true. It usually goes down right sour even though his hand feels warm and strong and he drips sexiness and charm.

If interested please contact me at dctriana82@gmail.com.

Thank you,
D.C. Triana

Except Michiko, a new girl from Japan, shows up and ruins everything. So begins Beatrice’s humorous and diabolical plan to scare away Michiko. But Michiko has goals of her own with no plans to leave soon. Then there’s that “other” girl, Bumbling Bea, who is such a blabbermouth. What’s a girl to do? Plenty.

C.E. (cewilson) | 2 comments Hello and Good evening Readers!!

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a read and review of my latest young adult book release, "The Boy with Words?" It's actually two books in a single volume. Check out the synopsis below:

White Frost has only ever known the darkness. Everything outside of her closed society is The Unknown – a strange and dangerous place accessible to only a chosen few. White’s only glimpse of the world beyond comes from her beloved cousin in the form of mysterious collections of words that hint at astonishing wonders. When an accident upends her simple existence, she’s given an unlikely chance to see the truth for herself.

What she finds is greater and more terrible than she could have imagined, and before long she is forced to make the most important choice of her life: does she accept her safe, limited world that she’s known or take a desperate gamble in a world not meant for her with the Boy with Words?

If interested, just let me know with a PM with your @kindle.com email so I can send you a copy straight away! I'm looking to receive reviews up to four weeks after receiving your ecopy.
