Elizabeth Eiler | 5 comments I'm excited to be part of this group and communicate directly with readers! I have two books published that I would love to have explored by a wider audience.

My newest release, "Swift and Brave: Sacred Souls of Animals," connects the reader to the deeper spirituality of animals and nature. History, metaphysics, and cultural diversity shed light on the souls of the animals who share our world, the spiritual basis for animal rights, and living in right relationship with the Earth. **I have two paperback copies to give away to any reader who would like to leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads.** Please reply to this post with your contact information to receive a copy.

My first book, "Other Nations: A Lightworker's Case Book for Healing, Spiritually Empowering, and Communing with the Animal Kingdom," is an intimate memoir of my work as Reiki Master and animal communicator. Included are true stories of healing, messages from the Rainbow Bridge, and guides for working with your own animals.

Best wishes for enjoyable and enlightening reading!

Eye Books (eye-books) | 2 comments Greetings Goodreaders

What a great idea for an exchange!

We are a very small independent publisher, always keen to share the stories that we curate.

At present there are two books we are interested in offering:

1. All Will Be Well In the words of John Hurt, it is "powerful, disturbing, beautiful." It is the author Michael Meegan's reflective meditation on the nature of compassion, in a world that can seem so devoid of this essential human emotion. Often hard-hitting, it is set to a backdrop of the extreme poverty that Michael has experienced first-hand, living in the Kenyan Rift Valley for many years. He gives the reader practical suggestions on how to take the first small steps in tackling the huge problems faced by the world's poor, but more importantly, how first to put ourselves on the right spiritual track.

2. Green Oranges on Lion Mountain Emily Joy is no Mother Teresa, notes The Herald, but then we quite like our VSO doctors taking a two-year placement in rural West Africa to have a weakness for chocolate and an eye for the handsome doctors... It is the humanity of this book that makes it so poignant, uplifting, and funny.

Please visit www.eye-books.com where we have a wider range of titles that you might expect from a publisher that specialises in travel memoir

M.L. Stoughton (mlstoughton) Hello!
I'm looking for readers and reviews for my YA paranormal romance/fantasy, PLEASANTWICK.

Blurb:
When her father begins restoring an ancient run-down house, deep in the California woods, Melinda Richards is instantly captivated. Steeped in mystery, the grand old structure, dubbed Sotheby House, boasts a history, and power, that Melinda would never guess. She’s lured back time and again, especially after meeting a handsome stranger in the nearby woods.

Luke Sotheby is in trouble — in more ways than one. Not only is his magical world, Pleasantwick, under attack by dark witches, but his ancestral home, the very portal to that world, has been bought by a commoner. And worse … he’s falling for the commoner’s daughter.

As the magical battle spills over into the common world, the young couple begins to face dangers the likes of which neither has ever known. Lives will be lost, secrets revealed, and if Pleasantwick falls, Melinda and Luke could be separated — forever.

It's available for $2.99 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SXFJXRA

Or I'd be happy to gift a Kindle copy or send an epub, mobi, or pdf to those who are genuinely interested --for a limited time only.

Shadahyah Elizabeth (shadahyahelizabeth) | 21 comments Hi, in a few short days, I become a year older, so in in honor of that, I am giving away the ebook version of my book, The Journey, for free on amazon. The Journey I a dark fantasy set in the middle ages and targeted for young adults. So if you are interested, please feel free to get your free copy either this Wednesday or Thursday, and please feel free to leave a review on amazon. Also, below is and excerpt from The Journey and a link to the book on amazon. I hope you enjoy.

Renee sat on a log staring at a small fire. Her arms were wrapped tightly around her leg as she tried to understand how a day that had started off so good, would lead to her entire family and her best friend Jasmine’s family ending up deep in the forest with two young men who looked like rebels. What had her family gotten themselves into, she thought to herself. She turned her head slightly towards the young men. They were standing at least ten feet away from her, whispering about something. The expressions on their faces and the way they stood there told Renee that it was serious—only she wasn’t sure how serious the situation was.
Her parents were the same way. They hovered in the corner with Jasmine’s parents, talking about something that none of the children were allowed to hear. They were hiding something from them, something very important and whatever it was, the two rebels were the reason. Why else would they bring them out into the middle of nowhere, then wait for a whole day for someone to show up, and on her birthday too? She should have known something was wrong the night before, after talking to Elizabeth.

Tom, I had a look at your blurb for this novel and reckon that it reads a bit like a screenplay. And the style: terse, no frills. I wouldn't mind getting it free on NetGalley and reviewing it. T.R. Connolly | 7 comments "A Story for the Ages"

5.0 out of 5 stars Story for the ages "The Adored" by TR Connolly

By Bethany McGarity on June 18, 2016 Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase

The Adored is by its summary just another story of good triumphing over evil, a hard-won victory of the downtrodden, an everybody-loves-karma retelling. Do not be dissuaded by initial appearances. This complex novel begins somewhat slowly, causing the reader to wonder how much effort will be required to slog through three or four detail-rich, seemingly unrelated stories before either getting to the point of the whole thing, or giving up. But, just as the eyes take in the words of yet another "back story" of yet another newly-introduced character and setting, the mind begins to weave the threads of connection among them. It is this tapestry of interconnection that feeds the engrossing need to keep reading, capturing and tangling you, and making it nearly impossible *not* to get to the end in one sitting. This is a book I will most likely read again and again, and share with friends, not only for the overall "moral of the story" and happy ending, but for the enjoyment of the page-to-page reading, with its wealth of descriptive detail, fluid storytelling, and engaging characterization.

Mark Parker | 5 comments I don't know how many middle grade readers are in this group, but my new middle grade novel, Shaky Man Shaky Man by Mark S. Parker is available in pdf for review. Just send me an email at marksparkerwriter@gmail.com. Here's the pitch for the book:

STAY AWAY FROM SHAKY MAN! SHAKY MAN is the story of the unlikely friendship of two boys, one white, one black, growing up in Central Texas during the 1960's. They are brought together by their common love of laughter, baseball and Star Trek. They come to deal with the racism, intolerance and turbulence of the times. There is even a murder and a trial. And, of course, there is the mysterious Shaky Man. All the kids in Tonkaway, Texas say he killed his wife and kids, eats little children and abuses his dogs. Did he? Does he? Top Parsley is the new kid in town and he has to find out for himself.

"This book is so much fun, most readers won’t realize they are being taught compassion and respect for others while turning pages to find out how the story ends." Jo Ann Holt, Dallas Focus Daily News

Please let me know if you are interested. I'm always looking to get the book into the hands of teachers and librarians. If you are one or know one, let me know.

Thanks,
Mark

Lilah (lilahenoir) | 3 comments I have recently released my debut novel Unorthodox Therapy and I'm looking for people to review it. It's a psychological, erotic suspense with romance elements, focused on the theme of addiction. If you are interested you can take a look at its Goodreads page - https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... - or find more information at my sign-up form, the easiest way to get in touch with you - http://bit.ly/29igOOt. I can provide a free copy in .mobi, .epub and .pdf.

Here is one of my Amazon reviews.
" A review by an Amazon Customer.

Unorthodox Therapy is the latest work by Lilah Noir. I can say without reservation that this book was an absolute pleasure to read. Lilah develops characters that suck you into the story without effort. Through her words, you become them and peer at the world around you through their eyes. You can feel their pain and understand their dreams. Her storytelling is divine. She never has to "tell" the reader anything, she "shows" consistently and you understand as the story unfolds around you. Although I am new to the BDSM literature, her knowledge of the "lifestyle" is a refreshing treatise on a subject few seem to really understand. She explores the Dominant submissive psyche through the characters thoughts and actions and reveals things most authors could not possibly explain. Why should a strong woman become a submissive? Can she maintain herself and her strength or will she be lost if she chooses to surrender? When is BDSM abusive and when is it erotic? Can a Master achieve control and still maintain his humanity? All of these questions flow through the story. They are woven in an intricate web of darkness and yes, love. You'll have to read her book to understand just how love and vanilla sex can fit in with a BDSM relationship or, then again, maybe it can't... no spoilers from me. The human mind is a fragile thing and it can be broken. Lilah shows the reader that walking the psychological edge of D/s is always that... an edge. How far do you want to go? Ms. Noir will take you there. I encourage you to give Unorthodox therapy a try. You won't be disappointed. Five beautiful stars. Kudos Lilah. An important work. A pleasure to read. "

Lauren Garcia (laloga) | 7 comments Hi there! :) My name is Lauren, and I write fantasy novels.

My first published novel, Catalyst Moon: Incursion, is a fantasy, with romance and adventure. It's slated for release later this month. Like so many, I'm hoping to garner some more reviews for my book.

Here's the Goodreads page: Incursion

Here is the synopsis:

***
There is balance in all things.

Those who live and breathe magic; those who guard the world against it. Those who heal; those who tear asunder. Those who must choose their paths; those who chose long ago.

The One god shaped the world to exist in perfect harmony...until Seren, the second moon appeared, bringing magic and throwing humanity into chaos. Now, mages are captives, guarded by high walls and highly-trained sentinels, men and women who ingest a dangerous substance to gain an immunity to magic. Only then can they protect the world from the magic-users and abide by their oath: Honor. Service. Sacrifice.

Kali, a crippled mage who longs to run from the painful memories of her deceased father, travels to Whitewater City to meet with a powerful healer. When her sentinel escort is decimated by monstrous bandits, she is left in the company of a single sentinel, Stonewall, a man with nothing left but his chosen name and his faith in the gods. Together, they must survive demonic creatures, bloodthirsty nomads, and a strange magic never seen before.

But trouble brews in Whitewater City. Sentinel Commander Talon struggles to keep the mages captive as Eris, a shape-changing mage, prepares for an escape of her own. Meanwhile, Milo, a new sentinel, must decide if the path he's chosen is the right one after tragedy strikes his squad.

Catalyst Moon: Incursion is an epic fantasy with notes of romance that introduces an old world where magic is new...and rebellion is on the horizon.

A L Jordan | 2 comments Hi all,

What a fantastic idea for a group! I have been looking through some of the books already and am very interested in buying them!

As a first-time writer myself, I have just released my first two short stories on Kindle. I am not looking to make money off the venture, I'm just keen to get my stuff out there and get some honest reviews of what people think.

At the moment, my books are going for free on Kindle in promotion. And I would love it if anyone could give me an honest review of what they think of the stories!

The two short stories are the first in a collection entitled 'Royal Conspiracies'.

The first is 'What Happened In the Tower'. http://amzn.to/29B5ekJ
It's a quiet night as the sun sets on the Tower of London in 1483, but the Princes soon find that they are not alone. There's a stranger in the Tower and he's coming for them.

And the second is 'Walsingham's Man'.
http://amzn.to/29KZWkv
The spymaster of the Elizabethan court has a web of men to do his bidding. But one of these men is about to find out what being the spymaster's man really means when he's ordered to do something he doesn't want to do.

Many thanks!

Soon, he encounters a seven-foot-tall demon in a blood-speckled lab coat, bent on fulfilling the prophecy. As if things could get any worse, the police begin to suspect Vic’s death wasn’t an accident and peg Cord as the prime suspect. Victoria | 3 comments Hello all,

I would love some reviews on my story "Till Death".

It is a stand-alone urban fantasy and wouldn't take long to read.

I can offer a pdf copy if anyone is interested.

It is set in a world where rogue necromancers control the dead and turn them against the living, The Independent Necromancers’ Bureau works to keep law and order.
