Cheryl A. (teddi1961) I will be reading Undercover by Danielle Steel for this prompt

Page Grey (Editor) (authorpagegrey) | 8 comments Guys, Save The Date by Morgan Matson also works. there's a rom-com movie with the same title (2012) and starring Mark Weber and Lizzy Caplan

El | 196 comments The Winter's Tale by William Shakespeare (2014 Winter's Tale)

message 154: by Heather (new)

Heather (eveejoystar) | 62 comments On the list I saw Beloved by Toni Morrison, but when I googled I found the movie based on the book. Unless there's another movie out there with the same name?

message 155: by Heather (new)

Heather (eveejoystar) | 62 comments Ah, never mind. I see there's a Korean show with the same name. Still too close for me. lol Going to use a different book for the prompt but think I'll also read Beloved since it was already on my tbr.

You can read Beloved for the "book written by an author who has written more than 20 books" instead.

message 157: by Heather (new)

Heather (eveejoystar) | 62 comments @eujean2 I've already finished that prompt(The Time Machine by H.G. Wells). I've estimated I'll be done with the challenge in September so still plenty of time. Currently have it on hold at the library.

message 158: by Julia (new)

Julia Spe | 26 comments No perfect fit, but I've read Geek Girl by Holly Smale.
Geek Girl (Geek Girl, #1) by Holly Smale
It's a book for teens, so I'm not the target group. Didn't enjoy it much, but 10 - 15 years ago I'd have liked it I guess.

Not related to the documentary film "Geek Girls" by Gina Hara. I'm planning to also watch this though.

message 160: by Courtney (new)

Courtney (4guysandmom) I read The Shadows by JR Ward, which was mostly because I was trying to catch up on the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, lol. Fortuitously, there is a movie with the same name, so it worked out!

message 161: by Jess (new)

Jess Schira | 7 comments I used C.J. Box's Open Season for this prompt. Even though it's a relatively contemporary mystery, it would also fit the "A Western" prompt.

message 162: by Kim (new)

Kim Kuhne (kimkuhne) | 17 comments I used his first in the series as my "Western" prompt. I will be reading more!

message 163: by Cindi (new)

Cindi (cindilm) | 20 comments I was going to use "The Tourist" for this (book by Olen Steinhauer and movie starring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie) but I couldn't get into the book - the movie was interesting, though.

Then I discovered that a book I had on my shelf, unread, "Indian Summer" by Aaron Mahnke shares a title with a movie made in 1993 starring Alan Arkin, Matt Craven, Diane Lane and Bill Paxton. Since I want to read my TBR books, I think I'll go with this one.

message 164: by Tara (new)

Tara Nichols (tarajoy90) | 167 comments I have been wanting to read Jason Reynolds for awhile. I just finished listening to the audiobook of Ghost and it was really delightful. It's a middle grade novel about a young man with some personal struggles who unexpectedly joins a track team. It was really good and definitely completely unrelated to the 1990 film of the same name starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze, so it's perfect for this prompt.

message 165: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Morrison | 145 comments I just started The Other Woman for this prompt. Here’s the link for its same name movie. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2203939/

message 166: by Aoife (new)

Aoife Candy by Kevin Brooks

message 167: by Heather L (last edited Mar 26, 2020 07:32AM) (new)

Heather L (wordtrix) | 780 comments I used an older Nora Roberts book, Spellbound, for this one. The 1945 movie starred Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck.

message 168: by Shelley (new)

Shelley | 231 comments I had a Dungeons and Dragons book on my TBR that I have no idea where it came from, but it's called Homeland and has nothing to do with American politics, so that worked.

message 169: by Lilith (new)

Lilith (lilithp) | 1073 comments I read The Follower for this prompt, and really enjoyed it.

I reread In the Woods over the weekend, and it was just as gooood and satisfying the second time around.

message 170: by Marie-Eve (new)

Marie-Eve Mailhot (indieegirll) | 139 comments I decided to go with Legend

It had been on my TBR shelf forever, and it was on sale on Kobo...
i just decided to read even if it didnt fit (in my head) any of the prompts, then just for fun, googled Legend.
found a movie with Tom Hardy from 2015.
Works for me! haha

message 171: by Outi (new)

Outi | 2 comments I just finished The Unthinkable: Who Survives When Disaster Strikes - and Why and while googling it I found out there's also a movie called The Unthinkable but totally unrelated to the book. I'll count it although the book name has some additional details (those are in small print on the cover so I see "The Unthinkable" as the actual title).

message 172: by E.R. (new)

E.R. Griffin (egregiouserrors) | 134 comments I've been wanting to read The Power by Naomi Alderman, and lucky there was a 1968 movie with that same title!

message 173: by emily trinkle (new)

emily trinkle | 2 comments I read A Little Life and wasn’t sure what prompt it should go under. Then I found out there was a film about a Chinese Opera made in 1998!

message 174: by Rebekah (new)

Rebekah (starmunchkin) | 2 comments I just got the book I chose for this prompt in the mail and I'm really excited to start reading it. I have to admit this prompt stumped me for a while because every book I found that had the same title as a TV show or movie, was related to the same. I went through my whole To-Read list and finally found one that works perfectly. I have chosen Dark Tide: The Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919 by Stephen Puleo. I discovered that there was a film called Dark Tide in 2012 starring Halle Berry, which is a typical shark attack movie, and thankfully has absolutely nothing to do with a deadly molasses flood.

message 175: by Jill (new)

Jill | 3 comments I read Conviction by Denise Mina. The Movie is Conviction with Hillary Swank. :)

Dedra ~ A Book Wanderer (abookwanderer) | 190 comments I just finished Summer Hours for this prompt, which is also the title of a French film. I loved it! It's a great beach read or book club pick, too.

message 177: by Renee (new)

Renee Read The Snowman (Harry Hole, #7) by Jo Nesbø - great nordic noir

message 178: by Claire (new)

Claire (lecari) | 26 comments I read After Darkness by J F Johns for this - it's also the name of a sci-fi film directed by Batán Silva and starring Tim Daly, Natalia Dyer, Kyra Sedgwick, John Patrick Amedori and Valorie Curry. (I've not seen the film though!)

After Darkness (Eternal Darkness, #4) by J.F. Johns

message 179: by Erin (new)

Erin Burn | 1 comments I was struggling with this one - but I read three women (Lisa Taddeo) earlier this year, and I’ve just seen there is a movie called 3 women if that helps anyone!

message 180: by Delia (new)

Delia (dc1984) I decided to go with The Deep for this prompt.

message 181: by Emily (new)

Emily A. | 20 comments Rereading This Must Be The Place by Kate Racculia that is not the same as the Sean Penn movie from a few years ago.

message 182: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (zumbajess) | 176 comments I had a question on this prompt. According to Goodreads the Woman in the Window by AJ Finn is listed as a book that fulfills this prompt, How?
When you Google this title it is DIRECTLY related to the movie that came out in 2020. I was going to use this book for that prompt because I started the 2020 challenge late and just happened to read it in 2020, but I don’t know if Goodreads made a mistake.

message 186: by Tamara (new)

Tamara Evans (bamalibrarylady) I read “Humans” by Brandon Stanton.

message 187: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 4 comments I read Outbreak by Robin Cook.

message 189: by Anshita (last edited Oct 29, 2020 11:05PM) (new)

Anshita (_book_freak) | 267 comments I've been in a reading rut for the past few weeks, so I've decided to read one of my favorite author's work, Love by Toni Morrison for this prompt. There are numerous movies and tv shows based on this title.

message 190: by Virginia (new)

Virginia (dogdaysinaz) | 52 comments I listened to the audiobook Swing. There was an unrelated movie about a rowing team: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10314548/.
Swing by Kwame Alexander
