Izzy Okay, the only rules are... no spamming and this has to stay appropriate so everyone can join in. No swearing. Okay and one more thing. It has to be about Camp Half-Blood.

Melody had come there by fortunate wishes. Camp Half-Blood was the best thing that ever happened to her. She could wield a sword, make nice monsters turn to dust and make a big giant do her bidding. But the only thing that bothered her was that she was seventeen and is yet to be claimed.

Hannah This was obviously not normal. And that was what scared her the most. All of her friends had been claimed weeks ago, months even.

Izzy Everyone at the camp was claimed. So far no new kids had come in which was unusual too. She was the last one to come in years. She grabbed her sword and walked away from the Hermes cabin.

Lord William She went to half blood hill to pray to Zeus or Poseidon or any other of the gods. She felt as if someone was watching her.

Cassandra Suddenly, she heard footsteps coming closer to her. She beame suspicious.
"Hey!" she said. But when she saw who was, she smiled.
"Jake! I'm sorry! I didn't see you. What are you doing here?".
He looked at her carefully and crossed his hands.
"Me? What are you doing here? And why are you so angry?".
She stopped smiling. "Me? Angry?". She tried again to smile, but the only thing that she managed was to make a shade appear to her face. "What makes you think that I am angry?".
"Hmm... I don't know. Maybe your facial expression. Maybe the way you have grabbed your sword, like you're going to kill somebody".
She put her sword back to her bag and she sighed. "I don't know what's going on with me. I don't know if I can ever be brave or manage something in my life".
He looked at her lovingly. "Are you kidding? Everyone knows that you are very brave! You are good at everything! You are very special!". His face turned red. He coughed and he looked away.
Jake and she were friends. They knew each other since third grade. Then, they didn't know anything about the half-blooders. They learned about this three years ago. When they came here, they didn't know anything about all this magic creatures they knew now. But then they learned. It was the best thing that ever happened to Melody, because she learnt so many things there.
Jake's father was Apollo, so he went to the Apollo's cabin. He had always been talended in music.
She was the one who was left. She went to the Herme's cabin, because she didn't know who was her father. No one did. And still, after three years, she didn't know where did she belong. Why? Why no one remembered her?
Everyone was believing that she was very stong and fast, and she had the power to do a lot of this. But Melody was for everyone a big mystery. Most of times, they were afraid of her.
Jake and she. She couldn't believe he still was talking to her. Deep inside, she was sure that he was hating her. Everyone did, why not he, too?
But she didn't say to him any of these problems that were troubling her. Anyway, even and if she did, he wouldn't understand her. No one could.
"What makes you believe that?" she asked him. She was sure that he wouldn't say something. What he could say? Yes, she was good at many things. But she hadn't ever done something brave.
He came closer to her. "Last month. When an Erinny attacked to Ben. You grabbed him down to the ground. If you hadn't done this, he would be probably dead. You think that it wasn't brave?".
All the memories came back to her mind, like a book that was forgotten at the bottom shelf and now was opened again. Ben, a boy from Hephaestus's cabin secretly went out of the Half-blooders' camp. He thought that no one saw him. But she had seen him. She followed him and when she was about to ask him why did he left the camp without telling anyone in the middle of the night, like from nowhere, an Erinny attacked to Ben. It was like the time had stopped. She saw the Erinny coming closer to Ben. Then she saw a flash. His sword was behind his back in a bag. Then she realised that he would try to pull his sword out. No, he had no time. He couldn't take it out before the Erinny had attacked.
Her mind was saying to her "No, don't". But her heart was saying "You can help him. You can save him. Just do it". She followed her heart.
She quickly grabbed Ben's hand and pulled him with all her force down. The Erinny passed upwards of their head and almost cut Ben's head. If Melody hadn't pulled him down, he would be dead.
The creature stared at her full of hate. "You!" she shouted with her unwordly voice. Then she looked at Ben again. "Next time, you won't be so lucky!". And then she screamed and left.
Melody looked at him. "Are you okay?".
He seemed very shocked. "Y...you. And the Erinny... You s... saved me!". He was looking at her like she had fell from the sky. "How did you do this? It was like you had all the time of your life to save me!". He was waiting from her an answer. But the problem was that she didn't know either what just had happened. The only thing that she surely knew was that Ben was hidding something. Why would an Erinny attack to him? As the time was passing, she was more and more confirmed that Ben had done something bad, something that had made the Erinny angry...
Since that day, everyone was staring at her with... well, she doesn't really know. They were just staring at her. Even and now. After one year, most people still remember that day. But she didn't want to remember. Because that day, she understood that, whatever she ever do, still no one will like her.
"No, it wasn't and so brave, because he would be alive and if I hadn't pulled him down. I just helped him a little more" she lied to Jake. She knew deep inside her that, Ben wouldn't be alive now if she hadn't helped him. But she didn't want to talk about that at that moment. She wanted to forget about it.
"Anyway..." she said. "I want to forget everything for now".
She wanted to ask him if he wanted to go for a walk with her. But she was afraid of his answer. It would be so embarrassing if he would tell her "no".
But she wanted to take the risk.
"Hey, would you like to... I mean, would you mind if...".
"Yes?".
"Well... If you want only... Would you like to go for a walk with me? You know, to walk together and discuss...".
"Yes, I'd love to" he said. Then he smiled.
And suddenly, she felt happy. She smiled back.
Jake and she again, like when they were before they came to the Half-blooders' camp. Together.
And finally, they spent the whole day hanging out together.
And this was only the first change to her life. The next morning, a big chance would be given to her. A chance that would help her to change her reputation to the camp... and her whole life.

The next morning, she woke up very early. This time, she was sure for where she wanted to go.
She headed straight for the Apollo's cabin. Jason and she had a meeting...

Izzy She walked into the meeting room. It was crowded.

Kevin Lau The meeting room in the Apollo cabin was always full, almost as much as the Athena cabin. They were always working on some sort of big art project. Melody wasn't sure what it was this time, but she saw Jake sitting in a corner, reading, uninterested in what was going on.
Melody tapped him on the shoulder. "Hey."
Jake jumped up and looked at her. "Oh, hey Melody." He stretched and yawned. "Good morning."
"There's something I need to tell you." She said it so fast, the words like oil flowing through her lips. She was surprised Jake understood what she said.
"Okay." He stood there, waiting for her to go on.
Then she realized how hard to say three words. She stood there in silence, her face turning red. "I..."
She stopped herself. The whole meeting room was silent. Melody looked around and saw everyone else was still in the room, but they were... they were...
She looked back at Jake, a smirk on his face, but he wasn't moving at all. No one was. They were all at a stand-still.
Then, in an instant, all the sound and the movement came back. People talking over one another, working on a project. Jake looked like he was breathing, The smirk still there.
"You... what?" His smirk got bigger.
She couldn't say it. She had to go clear her head. "I'll tell you later." She walked out of the Apollo cabin, breathing heavily. She looked at a group who were practicing sword fighting, clashing poles of celestial bronze against one another to make sure they wouldn't cause serious injury.
And then they slowed. Then they stopped. It was right at the moment when the two poles had hit each other and the spark was in mid-ignition.
"What the..."
Then a booming voice echoed through the camp. Melody hand to kneel down and cover her ears. "My, my, haven't seen one of your kind in six years."
The voice was gone and time resumed. The sword fight continued. The sound of the clashing was the now the loudest sound in the camp.
"Chiron." She said. She ran towards the cabin where the camp director stayed, driven by fear, not even paying attention to the look of horror the other campers were giving her when they looked at her, looking above her. Looking at the lightning bolt emblem floating above her head.

Izzy Jason and she decided to split the room in half, one for her and Thalia (when she visits), and the other for him.

Kevin Lau Of course, being the boy, Jason naturally chose the half closer to the bathroom. Melody sat at her bunk, trying to take it all in. She was a daughter of Zeus, a daughter of the most powerful of the Big Three. Of the gods. What can she do?
Thalia can summon lightning. Melody looked at Jason who was lying on his bunk, reading a book. She curved her mouth into a smirk.
Now, Melody didn't hate Jason, but she didn't feel bad at all trying to send a spark his way. It wouldn't have hurt him... much.
That is, if a spark was actually sent. Melody tried her best to focus on concentrating the energy around her, to make maybe just a small ball of lightning. But nothing happened.
Jason noticed Melody was doing something weird again. "What are you doing now?" he asked.
Melody snapped out of her trance and saw Jason staring at her as she held her right arm towards him, like she was trying to use the Force. "Nothing." She said quickly and put her arm down as her face turned red.
"Weirdo." Jason went back to his book.
Thalia was great at sword fighting, thought Melody. She stood up and left the cabin to head to the arena. She did have a knack for it and it may be able to clear her head (Not clear it off, but, you know, help her concentrate).
A storm brew overhead. Melody wasn't sure if something was wrong in Olympus again or if her father was trying to contact her, but her head was clearing a little bit. In all the rush of being claimed, she forgot to tell Chiron that something talked to her, something that sounded evil.
A chill ran down her spine, like something cold had touched her from behind. She turned around and saw nothing. Nothing out of the ordinary. Her cabin was behind her and so were the others.
She turned back to the sword arena, where it seemed that everyone was frozen in time again.

Cassandra No... no. Not again. How could this happen?
She walked slowly to the centre of the arena. She stepped into the middle.
Another camper was standing next to her. It was like she had told him to have a sword battle together. He turned around and looked at her. His green fiery eyes were staring at her with... well, curiosity.
He was tall, a little bit taller than her. His curly long far to his shoulders red hair, like fire, were waving around him.
She was sure he was son of Ares.
She looked around her. Many campers were sitting on the seats around the arena, ready to watch an unforgettable battle.
'They are expecting too many things' she thought. She didn't wanted to fight this boy. Well, he seemed like he was only one year older than her, and he could probably win her easily, but he didn't know that she was one of the most talented in sword fighting campers, so it wasn't so fair for him. Or he knew?
"Melody! Such an honor to fight with you!".
She looked at him. "How do you know my name?".
He laughed. "Are you kidding me? Everybody knows you!". He smiled at her.
So, he knew. "Aren't you afraid?".
Everybody laughed. But he wasn't bothered. "Why do I have to be afraid? You aren't going to kill me, are you?". The audience laughed again.
"Ha ha. Very funny. Why are we only speaking and not fighting? Are you trying to avoid the moment that the battle will start? Because you should know that you can't win me easily. You'll have to give your best". Everybody started to cheer.
He laughed. "You are good..." he said. "I am Harry, Ares's son". They shaked hands.
"Nice to meet you" she said.
This guy had something that was attracting her... She loved him! She was sure that they would be very good friends.
But for now, they would be enemies in a little battle.
"Shall we start?".
"Of course" she said.
They took off their swords. The sun was making his eyes look like emeralds. Her eyes were grey, like a storm ready to blow up.
She made a quick bun to her curly brown hair, so they couldn't bother her while she was fighting.
At first, Harry thought that she would attack, so he quickly grabbed her hand that was holding her hair and the two swords clashed together and made a metallic sound.
Her hair fell around them. She was shocked.
Then, he understood that she didn't wanted to attack yet. She could feel his breath on her skin. His face was very close to her face.
"I'm really sorry! I thought..." he started saying, but he stopped. It was like the time had stopped once again. She looked at him carefully.
Then, an ironic smile appeared on her face.
She would take advantage of her effect.
It was like everyone unfreezed at the same time and the time got back to normal.
Harry took his hands off and let her. His face had turned to red.
Now it was time. She could use her effect on him to win.
"I'm really sorry!" he said.
"No... no, it's okay" she said. She smiled at him.
"I thought that... you were going to attack to me!" he tried to apologize.
"Well, let's forget about it. Now we can start fighting!".
"Okay. Let's do this!".
She let her hair down. They wouldn't be a block anymore.
He was staring at her with interest. She looked at him at the same way.
He attacked to her, but she warded off his sword. She came closed to him on purpose. "You fight well" she whispered to his ear.
"Thank you" he said. She could feel his nervosity. She was doing a great job.
She let him to try to attack to her one more time, of course warding off his sword once again. Now she was very close to him, and she knew that his heart was beating loud. She could feel it like... well, it was strange, like electricity. Every time she was touching him, his feeling were penetrating her skin like electrism.
She knew that she had captivated him.
This was an ability she always had. She knew all people's feelings with a touch. And also, everytime she was fighting, she could captivate her opponent (if it was a boy, of course). This was one of her secrets. And, the most ridiculous thing she could ever admit, it was working!
But this thing she could do it only when she was fighting. It was one of the times that her secret ability was coming up to the surface.
She had been always thinking that this was really ironic, because she was never good at any relationships.
Now it was time to take advantage of her ability. Her sword slowly trapped his sword. When he understood what she was doing, it was late.
She whisked her hand and his sword slipped off his hand, twisted on the air and finally fell down. She quickly put her sword under his neck and finally stared at him, smiling.
He had taken the count.
Everybody cheered and clapped loudly.
She had won. Once again, her ability helped her.
She started laughing.
Harry stared at her with a weird look on his face.
"I can't believe it! You won me!" he said.
"Yes... I did!".
"You are good..." he said. "You are really good..." he said again more quietly.
She was so happy, that she hugged him.
When she realised what she was doing, she quickly let him. But it didn't seem like he had any problem with what she just did. Actually, he seemed like he was enjoying Melody's winning.
"Never mind..." he said and then he started cheering.
She didn't know what to do.
She didn't know that she had sooo much effect to the others.
She smiled once again. Well, fortunately, it helped her. What she didn't know was that, these gifts (That she was sure that were her powers, which, no one knew yet except her) would be very helpful, but also would cause her many problems.
But she was sure for one thing: she really liked Harry.

After all those cheerings, she left the arena and headed straight for her cabin. But in her way...

Rachel {Deads know all but don't give a damn} was Chiron. He was staring at her in such a frightened way that she helt uneasy. Has she done something wrong? "Miss. Parson, please follow me." Chiron said. They arrived in the arctic. She didn't like this place. It felt.... too familliar. Chiron showed her a watch. "Melody, do you know what this is?" Chiron asked. Melody said....

Cassandra She heard again a strange noise, and felt someone near her.
Suddenly, she heard someone singing. The sound was coming from the sea near the camp.
She quickly ran from that way. This song was attracting her.
At the beach, she saw a woman, a young woman wearing a pink dress, with blond wavy hair, singing.
'Who is this woman?' Melody wondered.
It was like she had heard her thought. She turned and stared at her. Her face was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
She stopped singing. "Come closer..." she said to her. She approached her.
She smiled. "Do you know who am I?".
"No, I don't..." she said.
"Well now you will learn". She stood right next to her. "I am Aphrodite".
"Aphrodite? You mean... goddess Aphrodite?". Melody was shocked. She had never seen or spoken to any god from that close.
"Yes, my dear" she said. "And I came here to visit you. It's time to learn about the powers that I have given to you".
"P... powers? What powers? And you didn't visit me, I found..." she started saying, but Aphrodite interrupted her.
"I called you with my song. You would be able to hear me wherever you were. And, if you wanted to come, the song would lead you. If you didn't want to, the song would have taken you here anyway. Everything has to do with magic".
"Okay. So... goddess... miss...".
"You can call me Aphrodite".
"Aphrodite, what do you want to say to me?". Now she started to feel nervous.
But Aphrodite just laughed. "From the time that you were born, I knew that you were special. At the same day of your birth, the oracle gave me a divination. A divination which, and I was sure about it, was about you".
"Me?" she said. She couldn't believe it.
"So, to give you an extra help, and with help I mean magic help, I gave you some powers. Some powers that would help you to take charge all men. Of ourse, as you can also guess, these powers were some of my powers".
'Oh, no...' I thought.
"Yes..." she said, like she had heard my thought. "This power that you have, that you can effect every boy and men. I gave you this power. And, believe me, it will help you a lot. Sometimes, it might be the only thing that can help you save your life".
"And, that means, that you gave me this power?".
"Of course! What did I just said?" she said. She was laughing. "You are so sweet. I wish I could help you more. But I guess that, that's what I can do for now. I'm sure that we will meet again".
"Wait! Don't leave! What about the divination? Who is my role at it?".
"You will learn very soon. The time has come. Goodbye, Melody...". And, at one moment she was standing right next to her and at the other, just like that, she had disappear.
So many things had just happen... She need time to think.
She returned back to her cabin.

The next morning...

Kevin Lau The next morning, Melody woke up in cold sweat. She dreamed of... of something. Something dark. Something cold.
"Melody?"
She looked at Jason who was walking out of the bathroom, toothbrush in mouth and a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Jason, put some clothes on."
"Are you okay?"
"I..." Melody didn't know how to answer that. "I just need to go take a walk." When Jason went back to the bathroom, she changed into her light armor. Something told her to wear her heavier armor, a nagging feeling in the back of her mind, but she ignored it. However, she didn't ignore the feeling to bring her sword along with her.

A walk through the woods was just what she needed. It was quiet, remote. She wasn't a child of Poseidon, but the sound of the creek soothed her.
Aphrodite mentioned she was a part of some divination. She also mentioned she gave Melody the power to manipulate men to do anything she wanted them to do. Could she have them run head first into danger? Could she have them as a body guard? Could she have them steal?
I was a lot to process, but the snap of a twig brought her back into reality. Quickly, she spun around and drew her sword to the direction of the sound.
It was a hellhound, only fifty feet away, slowly stalking her.
"What the...?" Monsters weren't supposed to get through the magic circle protecting the camp, unless someone summoned it.
There was a moment where the two of them stared at each other's eyes, Melody looking into the dark, cold eyes of the hellhound. She shivered. It was cold here. So cold.
The hellhound growled and lunged at her. Melody swung her sword and whacked the hellhound aside with the flat of it.
The hellhound recovered quickly, faster than Melody had expected, and lunged at her again. She ducked low as the hellhound sailed over her, missing by near inches. She stood back up and held her sword ready as the hellhound turned around.
But it didn't lunge at her this time. Instead, it went to bite her left ankle. She jumped back and slashed it with her broad, celestial bronze sword. She managed to cut the monster, but only the nose. It fell off the hellhound's muzzle and became dust. The hellhound became even angrier now, stepping back and baring its teeth at Melody, it's eyes a hot, dark, bloody red.

Izzy She stormed in, flustered from the attack and from not being able to interpret the meaning, and there sat five guys. All pretty handsome. They started flirting with her.

message 16: by Cassandra (last edited Apr 10, 2015 07:35AM) (new) - added it

Cassandra She was very confused and frustrated. She didn't have time for things like that.
"Do you want to go for a walk with me?" one of them asked her. He put his hand on her hand.
"No, thank you" she said. She removed his hand from her hand, frustrated from the whole situation.
"She doesn't want to go with you" another guy said to him. "Do you want to go with me for a walk?".
"I said it first! She won't go anywhere with you, Freddie".
"How did you call me?".
"Freddie... why?".
The face of the other guy turned to red. "Do. Not. Call. Me. Freddie. Again! How many times have I told you? Fred, not Freddie! I hate Freddie...".
"Okay... Freddie".
"Stop it!".
"Stop what... Freddie?".
"Okay. As you like. Mikey".
"Mikey?".
"Yes. Mikey".
"Oh... no... don't call me like that again! Mike! Not Mikey!".
"If this is your wish... Mikey".
Mike's face had turned to red, too. He grabbed Fred's shoulder.
"Please. Just do me a favor and stop talking!".
Fred pushed Mike's shoulder. "Why do I have to stop?".
"Because I am telling this to you!". Mike pushed him back.
'I can't believe it! They are acting like they are still five years old! Why all these things happen to me?' Melody thought irately, confused with their behavior.
The other three guys were looking at their friends, shocked with their behavior, too.
"Okay, stop..." Melody said to them.
But they acted like she didn't speak at all.
"Stop telling me what to do!" Fred told to Mike.
"No, you stop to act like you can do anything! It's really annoying!" Mike said to him.
'Oh, no...' Melody thought, once again.
But before the fight start, the door of the office of Chiron opened and Harry got in.
"Harry!" she shouted. Mike and Fred turned their heads to see who was the guy who went in.
Then Melody remembered what happened only a few hours before.
She was very angry, because he didn't let her to beat the Hellhound by herself. Even and if she knew deep inside her that she wouldn't manage to beat that beast, she was believing that she deserved a chance.
"What's going on? I heard voices from outside and I came to see what's happening here" he said.
Then he saw the other guys.
"What are you looking at?" Fred said to him.
"You what are you looking at! You are the one who is looking at him!" Mike said to Fred.
"Ugh...!" Melody said furiously.
She couldn't believe that all this started beause of her. All this totally ridiculous thing started because of her effect, because of her powers!
And then Fred punch Mike on his face.
At the beginning, they were all shocked.
Then Mike punch Fred back.
They soon were hitting one each other.
Harry quickly stood in the middle. The other guys followed him and finally, they separated them.
Two of the guys grabbed Fred, and the other one, together with Harry, they grabbed Mike.
"Why did they started fighting?" Harry asked.
"I'll tell you: all started because of her!" said one of the guys and pointed at Melody.
"Okay, okay, let's all calm down" Harry said quietly, like he was talking to a dog that he had just started to train him.
When everyone calmed enough, so Fred and Mike wouldn't think to grab anyone again, Harry asked her:
"Why did you come here, to the Chiron's office? Is everything okay? Do you have any problem?".
"No, no. Everything is okay. I wanted to talk to Chiron for... something. But I think that it isn't the right moment. I shall go...".
And she quickly ran straight to the door and slammed it behind her.
She really needed to think about all these things that happened to her. She couldn't tell anybody. And for that moment, she would definitely try to forget all this ridiculous and embarassing things that had just happened and that Harry had seen too.
She wished no one would remember anything.

The next morning...

Kevin Lau The next morning was even worse. The guys from the Aphrodite cabin were hitting on her now and, as attractive as they were, there were more important things to think about than which guy Melody should go out with.
Melody sat on the beach, looking off into lake of Long Island Sound. This was where Aphrodite had came before and gave her vague information that only made her life more confusing. She was a daughter of Zeus, what reason did Aphrodite have to give her powers? Honestly, Melody was a bit of a pyromaniac and wanted lightning powers and blow some stuff up.
"Even, if you're not a child of Poseidon, the sea is quite soothing, don't you think?" Said a voice behind Melody.
She jumped up and turned around to find Chiron in his centaur form, his upper body connected to the body of a horse. It was beautiful is a mythical sort of way.
"Yeah," She said, "It is. Especially with what happened yesterday."
"So I've heard." Chiron gazed off into the lake. "Waiting for someone?"
"I don't know."
Silence.
"Chiron, what's happening to me?" If anyone in the whole world knew what was going on, it was Chiron. He seemed to know everything.
But, to her dismay, Chiron's answer was "I don't know.
"You lack the powers of Zeus," he continued, "except for sword fighting, but you lack a natural skill with a javelin. In fact, you seem to possess the powers of Aphrodite when it comes to your presence around men, but it could be your cool persona. However, your scent..."
Her scent? What was wrong with her scent? She just showered today.
Chiron must have been reading her thoughts or something, because he quickly caught himself. "No, not the scent your thinking of, but your half-blood scent. It's... stronger than any half-blood I have come across. It's like... you are more god than mortal."
"What does that mean?" Asked Melody.
"I don't know, but I fear this may put you in grave danger. Your presence could give creatures a great surge of strength."
Then she remembered what happened the day before. "Chiron, yesterday, I came across a hellhound in the woods when I was walking along the boundary line."
Chiron was silent, perhaps trying to put pieces of the puzzle together. "Did it hurt you?"
"No."
"It is killed, though, correct?"
"Yes, Harry was nearby and saved me."
Chiron used his front right hoof to dig in the sand a little. "With the Fleece, the boundary line is stronger than ever before. Even if the hellhound had a sudden urge of strength by your presence next to the boundary line, it would never pass through, unless it was summoned." A pause. "You said Harry saved you?"
"Yes."
"What was he doing over there?"
"I..." Melody though about it. What Was he doing out there in the first place?
"Melody," Said Chiron. "Be careful."

At dinner, Melody gathered food for her plate and followed the line to the bonfire to burn food for their godly parents. She went up to the fire and dumped some mashed potatoes and a rib-eye steak. "Zeus."
'And please,' she prayed silently, 'help me understand what Aphrodite wants from me.'
The smell the flames gave off after she dumped her food reminded her of a storm. Not scary storm, but a calm, necessary storm. A rainy day where one would like to spend indoors and reading a book or have a TV marathon.
She went to step away from the flames only to find everyone at the dinner staring at her. "What?"
Chiron walked up to her. "Melody, look up."
She did, and above her was... was...
"THE SYMBOL OF APHRODITE!" Yelled a girl from the Aphrodite cabin.
"But she's already a daughter of Zeus!" Said a guy from Athena.
The pavilion began to get louder and louder.
"SILENCE!" Yelled Chiron, and everyone did so. "Melody is not a half-blood." He turned to her. "Remember what I said earlier today? About how your godly scent was stronger than any half-blood I've met?"
"Yes." She remembered.
"It is because you are more god than mortal." He stepped back and knelt with his horse legs. "Everyone! Show your respect to a new god: Melody, daughter of Zeus AND Aphrodite!"

Izzy Everybody started to bow. She told them it was no big deal, but once she said it Chiron interrupted with a, "Melody, goddess of respect and power."

Cassandra What was going on? Why was everything so confusing?
She didn't want to hear more. She just wanted to leave from that place. She wanted everyone to stop looking at her.
She ran away.
"Melody!" she heard Chiron calling her. But she didn't return. She wanted to go to only one place. One place that would help her solve all her problems. That would help her to understand.
When she finally arrived to the lake of Long Island Sound, she sat on a big rock that she found near there.
Everything was so... confusing. Why? Why to her?
She took some deep breaths. She needed to calm down. She needed to put in an order all these things that had happened to her.
They were twelve gods. Three of them, the most powerful, Poseidon, Hades and Zeus, had made an agreement: they mustn't do other kids. No one kept his promice.
But from then, a lot of years had passed, and many things had happened.
Now, they had broke their agreement. And Poseidon, Hades and Zeus, were "allowded" to do other kids. Each god had his own cabin. And each cabin of the Half-bloods camp had at least one kid.
'How can Aphrodite be my mother? She is DAUGHTER OF MY FATHER!' Melody thought, really shocked with this new information coming up to the surface. How could this be? Was she dreaming?
"It's not our fault. Then, he didn't know that I was his daughter. And neither did I" she heard a voice telling to her.
She turned around. Aphrodite was standing only some metres far from her.
"Aphrodite! You scared me!".
"Well, as you see, now I am your mother. You were shocked, right?".
"Are you kidding me? Of course! But... how? Why nobody told me this earlier? Why didn't you tell me about that, last time that we met?".
"I can admit that I was... afraid... about your reaction. So, I decided just to show you". She smiled uneasily. "Do you really want to learn?".
"Yes... please! I need to know" Melody told her.
"Okay... as you like". She came closer to her and finally stood right next to her, looking far away from the lake, with her mind travelling back to time and remembering everything.
"When I was born, I... didn't know anything about my parents. Later, I learned that my mum had given me for adopting. My mum was Dione, she was a godess, too. And she still is, of course. She didn't want to tell to Zeus about me. So he didn't learn about me. Until the moment that he met me. He fell in love with me, and I fell in love with him, too. We met while he was struggling in the Earth, to see how things were going here. While the time was passing, we started to talk. Soon, we were together, like a couple. We were loving each other. My mother didn't know anything about us then. Neither Zeus, nor I knew the tragic truth. Then, one night...". She stopped talking. She looked at Melody to see her reaction.
Melody wasn't so shocked as she was expecting. In fact, she was totally understanding Aphrodite.
"Then I learned that I was pregnant. On you".
Melody heard herself taking a deep breath.
Aphrodite continued. "You came to the world. My mother soon learned about this, it wasn't something that could be easily hidden from her. And she was shocked. She explained to Zeus that I was his daughter. When he learned about it, he didn't know what to do. He was more shocked than me, who learnt about it a week later. My mum came down on the Earth just to talk to me and she told me everything: about my adoption, about keeping Zeus into the darkness, without telling him anything. I was feeling so guilty. I was thinking that it was all my fault. We didn't tell about this to anybody else. This was a secret between me, Zeus and Dione".
"Why... why did you tell me that you just gave me some of your powers? Why didn't you tell me then that you were my mother?".
"About that... I told you, I was afraid. I didn't give you powers, you inherited them from me. But the prophecy is real".
"Can you tell me about that prophecy? Please...?" Melody asked her.
"The prophecy is talking about a child that shouldn't have been borned. But I'll tell more about that another moment". And with these last words, she disappeared.
Everything was so confusing!

The next morning, everything was different between her and the other campers...

As Melody walked through the camp, a gray mist suddenly appeared. From the shadows appeared a weary boy, with an old "HELLO, MY NAME IS NI_O D' A_GE_O." His name was rubbed off, and his mood seemed to darken when he saw Melody. "Great. The gods did it...again."

Melody was confused. "Who are you?" She asked.

" Don't ask-" The boy sighed and sat down on a rock. "The name's Nico D'Angelo. Son of Hades."

Melody felt sympathetic. She didn't know why, but something inside her said the boy wasn't meant to be in this world either. And besides, where she had come from, Hades was the god of the Underworld, a bad omen.

message 22: by Izzy (new) - added it

Izzy Melody slowly started walking away from the dull boy, but he started running after her saying, "Wait wait! I have something to say." Being the goddess of respect she turned around and half-listened to what Nico had to tell her.

message 23: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 06, 2014 03:41PM) (new)

Melody became more intent as Nico continued through his story. "The gods," He said, eyeing her. "Have mourned for this day. And yet, it has come. Do you know how dangerous it is for a new goddess to come to the world with no recognition, no temples, no meaning? Yes, respect, I can see, but no one honors you and with that your power decreases. Immortals can't simple DIE, but they can slowly fade. This could happen and I think your parents wouldn't be happy if that happened." Melody became solemn.

"Immortals have babies all the time. What's wrong with me?" she asked.

The boy sighed again, his face sad with misery and lonliness. " You may not realize it, but you are more powerful than you realize. Your fate may also be determined with jealousy of other gods."

"Wait, how do you know all of this?" Melody clearly wasn't trusting this guy. Not one bit. Nico smiled, but without happiness. He still resembled misery. Melody wondered if he did that a lot. Probably.

"As a child of the Underworld, it's my job to keep things...updated for the camps, which is why I'm here. Tell your, FRIENDS, what I have told you. I have to go to the next camp....Roman. Far, so I'll have to travel fast." Nico waved his hand, and then closed it. Melody could sense power radiating from him. Then, he disappeared as quickly as he appeared, shadows wrapping around him. Melody had heard of this type of traveling...shadow traveling.

Melody turned and headed back to her camp. She might as well tell the others. Besides, maybe other people knew of "Nico D' Angelo". That was the least of her worries though, that Nico did not reveal himself. Melody was supposed to be the all-time goddess...of power and respect.

Now, which cabin should she live in? Chiron had ordered a cabin be built by the Hephaeustus kids, but Melody insisted to not. She didn't want to live alone. She decided on the Zeus cabin...no offense Aphrodite but that cabin was way too...girly.

As she made her way back to her "home", she got a surprise. Thalia was there, waiting for her.

"Hey there kid!" She smiled, her pop-star jacket glimmering. "I heard we're roomies now! I came to visit cause I heard my little sis was a (Thalia winked) goddess!" Melody wished Thalia hadn't come. Melody always compared herself to her, and now here she was. It made her uncomfortable to think now she was even MORE powerful than Thalia.

Kevin Lau It didn't take long for Thalia to drag Melody to the fighting arena, swords ready for battle.

"So," Thalia said, "Goddess of power and respect. You can cream me and what else?"

Melody considered this, keeping an eye on Thalia as she circled her, hoping Thalia won't decide to strike early. "Maybe I promote good sportsmanship."

Thalia shrugged. "Makes sense."

CLANG!

Thalia decided to swing first, but Melody sensed it coming and swung around 360 and knocked Thalia's sword out of her hand. Melody had won, her body fueled with sudden energy.

"Uh, sorry." Melody went to pick up Thalia's sword and handed it back. "Lucky hit?"

Thalia looked shocked. No one had disarmed her so easily. She decided to step from intermediate to hardcore. "Maybe." She touched her bracelet and out bursted Aegis, a shield with designs to scary even Melody looked away.

Thalia tried to take advantage of the moment and slash at Melody, but her sword was once against flown across the ground and Melody hit her sword at the top of Aegis, bringing it and Thalia to the ground.

"Ow..." Melody helped Thalia get back up. "Best 3 out of 5?"

Melody laughed and sheathed her sword. "I think we're done here." She picked up Thalia's sword. Well, at least, that's what she wanted to do. Without warning, Thalia hit her right in the butt with Aegis, sending Melody into a somersault. Melody completed it with ease and looked back up at Thalia.

"What was that for?!"

Thalia had a curious look in her eyes. "Huh, Percy could never complete that somersault, even in water."

Melody didn't know how to feel. Impressed with herself? Scared? She was a goddess now, one of the minor ones without a cabin or a throne, but that was before she discovered that. Once she was called a goddess, it was like everything snapped into place inside her. She felt herself. She felt strong, confident.

Dangerous.

Melody pushed that last thought out of her head. The Goddess of Power and Respect. Would she demand respect or enforce it? She was humble, never full of herself. And why did she have to stay here? Could she go to Olympus?

"Hey!" A boy and a girl were running towards where Melody and Thalia were. It took Melody a few seconds to turn her focus on them and saw it was Percy and Rachel. "Hey, Melody!"

'Uh oh.' Melody thought. Percy never really talked to her before, she really didn't want Annabeth to get the wrong idea if she tried to find out more about Percy, but now he was coming to her.

"Yeah?" She asked cautiously.

Percy and Rachel reached them, panting for air. "Rachel... has a..." *pant pant*

"What is it?" Asked Thalia.

Rachel stood up straight and looked at Melody. "I have a prophecy for you, Melody, and it's a doozy."

Izzy "In the day of the sixth
You will make one wish

"Really?" Melody was upset. Percy started comforting her, then thought better of it.

"Hey Percy! You know how you've like, never been defeated? You should play Melody!" Thalia called when she started grabbing her bag to walk to the Zeus cabin.

Percy unsheathed his sword and said, "Bring it on, Beauty."

Melody felt uncomfortable playing him. He was one of the best demigod fighters and she brought him down in a heartbeat every time. She would hand him her hand to help him up every single time.

"I can beat you this time," he said.

He swung his Riptide and barely missed Melody's face. She looked shocked and swung her sword, ducked in a rolling move, rolled through him, knocked him over, and put her foot on his back.

"Sorry. I went a little overboard."

"I would expect you to. I mean you are going to die in two weeks," Percy shrugged as he called for an encore match.

"Night, Percy," Melody yawned and sheathed her sword. He waved to her as she walked out of the arena.

The night air was chilling and had a bite to it. Melody walked through it proudly and started catching fire-flies like at her house in Palm Springs.

She saw a shadowy figure watching her and knew exactly who it was. "Hi, Nico," she said and beckoned him out of the darkness. His skull and crossbones t-shirt looked nothing like the shirts he used to wear. Melody remembered that one had a picture of a man on the ground with a sword through his throat.

"How are you?" he asked cautiously.

"Um, I might die in two weeks so..."

"But aren't you immortal? Wouldn't you just fade?" he asked nonchalantly.

"I don't know, but that's what Rachel's prophecy was," Melody replied shrugging her shoulders.

Nico didn't look surprised. "I came back early to visit some...." Nico eyed Percy carefully. "Friends."
Melody never thought Nico would be one of Percy's friends. He seemed to suck out all the light and replace it with...dark.

Percy didn't seem to care, but Thalia was suspicious. "Who is this?" She put a hand on her sword, but Percy told her it was alright.
"Nico! I'm really glad to see you!" Percy didn't exactly believe himself, but he knew the sunken boy was on their side....for now.
Melody steered Percy away for a second and told him, "We should tell Chiron. The other day...Nico told me something..I-I think we should tell someone."

Percy nodded his head vigorously. Oh! Melody thought. She hadn't meant to use her charmspeak...

When they arrived at Chiron's "office", the two heard Annabeth inside.

"Someone is going to die! Nico knows! He can tell you! we can't let anyone die! We have to act! A quest, a mission-" Annabeth had never been so hyper, and Chiron reassured her.
"Annabeth," The old centaur gently said. "We'll make sure nothing happens. As for Nico, as you know, he is our "spy" for monsters and current events. I'll make sure he keeps us updated. Rachel's prophecy could mean someone evil will die, possibly not Melody." Annabeth sighed, and started to get up. Percy felt a twang of jealousness. Annabeth had never been interested in Nico before.

As soon as Annabeth was out of the door, Melody rushed in. She blurted out everything Nico had told her that day, and Chiron listened intently.

While Percy and Melody were having a chat with Chiron, Annabeth was rallying demigods at the campfire, even though Chiron had told her not to.

"Rachel has made another prophecy, relating to the last one we heard. Everyone please listen and think of what we shall do. Rachel," Annabeth announced, gesturing toward the oracle.

Rachel felt distant, like she didn't belong. she was a MORTAL. It didn't make sense. She recited the prophecy though.

"In the day of the sixth,
a goddess will make one wish,
To be free or to stay,
but either way
She will die that day."
Suddenly, Rachel's eyes glowed green, and the spirit of Delphi spoke.

"Evil forces ignite,
To snuff out three's light,
The dead rise to claim back,
Both sides come to attack,
Respect is at bay,
To be free, or to stay."

Rachel {Deads know all but don't give a damn} Rachel almost fell down but Percy caught her.
Chiron and Melody was behind him,.
They've just came back from their conversation and they looked grim.
"Oh, well.... That's cheerful." Percy said.
"What do we do, Chiron?" Annabeth asked worriedly.
"Panic?" Percy suggested.
Annabeth ignored him.
"So we first have to find out what this means." Chiron said.
"In the day of sixth..... Of what? This month?" Percy asked.
"Probably, it's six days after the summer solstice," Annabeth answered.
"It's coming soon and the enemy, whoever that is, will be able to track you, Melody," She continued.
"You have to go. It's the summer meeting of gods."
Melody suddenly felt very nervous.
Although she might die in 2 weeks, she didn't like the thought of doing that in front of the gods, being a goddess of power and all.
"So, do we go on a quest?" Percy asked, exasperated.

message 28: by [deleted user] (last edited Dec 07, 2014 05:19PM) (new)

No one noticed Nico was still there until he announced: "I'm going." He sounded really haughty, and Percy was still annoyed with him. "The dead...I might be able to help, as well with my shadow traveling." Before anyone could protest, Chiron nodded in approval.

"Anyone else?" He asked, looking directly at Percy, then Annabeth. Percy gulped. Chiron made him nervous that way.

"We'll both go." Annabeth said, and pulled Percy forward.

"Thanks." He said. he was a little embarrassed.

"The prophecy says three, but I think I should go too. Having a goddess on our side would be helpful." Melody stepped forward, as if daring anyone speak out against her. Chiron looked uncertain, but finally sighing he said,
"I suppose we have the four heroes. They will leave early in the morning, so before you go wish them good luck. Dismissed!"

Percy was confused. He didn't even know where to start looking. Annabeth seemed to notice this.

"We'll go to the Roman camp. The prophecy says "Both sides come to attack. Even though Roman is already friendly for now, we could recruit some backup." Annabeth looked so sure of herself, Percy decided to hope for the best.

"Annabeth, Melody, ....Nico, meet at the Zeus cabin tomorrow at 4. We need an early start." Percy announced. Everyone agreed.

Kevin Lau Melody went to sleep that night, tossing and turning, thinking only of the prophecy.

In the day of the sixth,
a goddess will make one wish,
To be free or to stay,
but either way
She will die that day.
Evil forces ignite,
To snuff out three's light,
The dead rise to claim back,
Both sides come to attack,
Respect is at bay,
To be free, or to stay.

Annabeth said that the day of the sixth meant six days after the summer solstice. Wait, would she have to be with the other gods and goddesses at the summer solstice meeting? Could she be ten stories tall like them? This only made her sick to her stomach.

She finally dozed off reciting the one line in her head, 'Evil forces ignite'. Her dream brought her somewhere cold, snowy. The sun was bright, and next to Melody with a bunch of its kind was a penguin.

"Ah, there she is now!" A man on a sled pulled by huskies beamed in Melody's direction. His smile was bright and deadly, whiter than the fresh snow that surrounded them. He was tossing bread to the penguins like one would in New York with pigeons.

Melody felt solid, like she was actually at that snowy place. It felt like it, making her teeth chatter. "Who are you?"

The man only smiled and walked closer. He let out a little chuckle. "Are you having trouble with that new prophecy? I'll admit, it's a bit longer than the other ones that have been made."

Whoa, who was this guy and how did he know about her prophecy?

He held up a finger. "Hold on, sorry, this place is beautiful, the sun shines here practically non-stop throughout the summer. I mean, I feel a haiku coming on."

Melody groaned. Now she knew who this guy was.

Apollo cleared his throat.

"Penguins are awesome,
Antarctica is as well,
But nothing like me."

Apollo bowed and looked back at Melody with his blinding teeth. "Well?"

"Well," she began, "At least you got the 5-7-5 right this time."

"Practice makes perfect."

"But Apollo, what is my prophecy about?"

He put a finger to his chin. "Well, a goddess will die no matter what choice she makes." No duh. "And two sides will attack. Not sure if they'll attack each other or do some kind of team-up, and no idea if they're on good terms with each other."

"And the evil igniting?" Are the titans coming back? The giants?

"No clue. I'm sorry."

Melody concluded that Apollo wasn't going to be much help. "Well, why did you want to talk to me? And please don't tell me you want my help with your haikus."

Apollo sighed. "As much as I would love that, I regret to say that is not the case. I wanted to warn you. There is a traitor in your midst. Someone who knew you were a goddess all along. He or she will be joining your quest to Camp Jupiter and beyond."

Melody thought about everyone she was going with: Annabeth, Percy, and Nico. The prophecy said three will die at the hands of evil, and so will the goddess when she makes a choice. Annabeth was smart, but scary. Percy was too adorable to be a traitor (whoa, Melody. Whoa). Nico was a stick in the mud, but not evil.

"I'm sorry to cut this short, Melody," said Apollo, "But your friends are raiding you snack cabinets."

"What?"

Melody shot up out of bed and turned to find Percy and Nico eating her stash of Oreos. Annabeth was sitting to the side and reading a book.

"Hey!" Melody jumped out of bed and ran towards Percy and Nico, who ran out the door, Oreos still in hand.

"I knew it was bad to take Oreos from a goddess!" Yelled Nico.

"Just keep running!" Yelled Percy. "And toss me another one!"

Melody was chasing them around camp, but soon they became tired and fell over laughing, finishing off the Oreos together. Percy looked up at the sky. "No way..."

A bronze dragon dropped down next to the pavilion and a young man jumped off of it. "No way!" Said Percy as he got up. "Leo's back!"

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

"All the Ladies Luv LEO!" Leo yelled. Melody focused on his not so muscular arm. On it in scraggly permanent marker was: ALL DA LADIES LUV LEO. On the other, it read: NARCISSUS STINKS. Then, another person jumped off the dragon. She had a white T-shirt and some jeans. Her long blond hair was pulled into a braid over her shoulder.

Calypso gave Percy an apologetic smile and gestured toward Leo. Mmmm, they were dating now.

Leo looked through the group, saw melody, and said, "Hmm, never seen this one before. And hey, gimme some Oreos!" Snatching a bag of the cookies and stuffing half of them in his mouth, he pointed at Melody.

"Oh, um, I'm a goddess." She said uncertainly, trying not to make a big deal. Nearly all the treats spilled from Leo's mouth.

"Epic! Now we got butt-kicking goddess on our side!" He grinned, flashing a peace sign. "How can me and my girl help?"

"You could join us on the quest we are going on. right now." Nico said, and gulped down another Oreo. Those things were great demigod fuel.

"Done!" Leo said. "Who needs a ride?" Annabeth groaned. She had gotten a fear of heights. Percy made her climb on Festus anyway.

Soon, the five demigods were racing across the sky, circling Camp Jupiter. They were met with a big yawning statue, and taped to it was a sign reading:

THIS IS TERMINUS. HE IS OFF DUTY RIGHT NOW. WAIT UNTIL MORNING TO COME IN OTHERWISE YOU WILL PAY.

There was a scraggly drawing of a skull next to it, but it looked more like a distorted pancake.

"Terminus?" Nico gently bumped him with his stygian iron sword. The god just kept on snoring. Nico started to get frustrated, and he banged the sword right on top of the statue's head.

"YYYOOOOOWWW! WHO DARES WAKE UP ME? TERMINUS, GOD OF,UM, BORDER LINES? NO,OREOS! YES, THE GOD OF OREOS!" The old god shouted, aimlessly flailing his marble hands.

"I think that was too much." Percy said. "Maybe we can just sneak by..." The demigods slowly crept toward the praetor house.

Rania Calypso never wondered about the camp before. Now that she sees it for real, she can help but astonished. She touched the infamous Thalia's pine tree and tried the coke Hermes' kids sell. Her favorite place is the strawberry field and the lake. But bunker 9 is the most cozy place she'd ever been.

These day, she'd be found there either sewing anti-flammable clothes for the Hephaestus cabin or making lemonades. She helps Leo all the time and is happy.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

Now, as Calypso soared through the sky, she thought, 'How is Camp Jupiter? Jason said it was amazing! I can't wait to see it for myself...'

As the kids soared toward Camp Jupiter, Calypso's eyes widened. It WAS amazing! fountains adorned the gardens, huge Roman-like houses followed through the endless stairs. It was a dream.

The demigods crept nearer to the praetor house, hoping someone was awake...someone to guide them. Ussually some type of guards were there, but surprisingly nothing tried to kill them. Best of luck! Calypso followed close behind Leo. She wasn't used to the darkness. Back in Ogygia there wasn't much 'night'. It made Calypso get a homesick feeling, but she shook it away. 'It's better here, with Leo.' She told herself, trying to convince.

Soon, the demigods were able to pile up (thanks to Leo's great acrobatics coaching) high enough to reach the window. Annabeth was at the top, and she peered inside.

"It's all dark!" She called softly to her teammates below. Suddenly, a familiar voice shouted,

"Stop! Don't fire! We need to interrogate!" A pile of demigods were standing next to Percy, who, unfortunately for him, was at the bottom.

Aneesha THE SUMMER I SAVED THE WORLD IN 65 DAYS
BY:MICHELE WEBER HURWITZ

It's summertime, and thirteen-year-old Nina Ross is feeling kind of lost. Her beloved grandma died last year; her parents work all the time; her brother's busy; and her best friend is into clothes, makeup, and boys. While Nina doesn't know what "her thing" is yet, it's definitely not shopping and makeup. And it's not boys, either. Though . . . has Eli, the boy next door, always been so cute?
This summer, Nina decides to change things. She hatches a plan. There are sixty-five days of summer. Every day, she'll anonymously do one small but remarkable good thing for someone in her neighborhood, and find out: does doing good actually make a difference? Along the way, she discovers that her neighborhood, and her family, are full of surprises and secrets.
In this bighearted, sweetly romantic novel, things may not turn out exactly as Nina expects. They might be better.

Aurora Standing behind them was none other than centrions Reyna and Frank the very people they were there to see.
"Yes. An interrogation is definitely in order. These people look awfully suspicious, " said Reyna with a smile.

Aurora Hugs were exchanged between the old friends. Reyna led the group into the praetor house where they sat down at a long table not unlike the one that before was used in the Argo 2.
Melody had heard of the great centrion, who once helped bring the Athena Parthenos to Camp Half-Blood in order to stop the Greeks and Romans from going to war. Melody did not expect someone as young as her taking on the responsibility of praetor by herself. Now that Frank Zang, one of the demigods in the Prophecy of Seven, also took on the role as praetor, Reyna was alot happier, without all that weight on her shoulders.
"What's wrong? I know you wouldn't come out here unless it was an emergency," said Frank.
"Emergency? Can't we come and visit friends without needing something from them?" Leo responded.
"Let's get to the point," Annabeth cut in.

"First, who's this?" Reyna's dark eyes hardened on melody.

"We,er, have a goddess. This is Melody, goddess of power and respect." Annabeth explained.

"Hail Melody, goddess of power and respect." Reyna said, but her voice had turned cold. she seemed not to like the idea of someone more powerful than her.

Annabeth explained the prophecy to Frank and Reyna.
"We must not attack against against friends, only together!" Percy said.
"Teamwork!" Leo yelled and tried to fist bump Frank.
Reyna's expression softened and she became friendly again.
Melody admired Reyna. She was strong brave, and had that serious, mature look in her eyes.
"I can arrange forces to help you find what you would find, but after hearing the prophecy I feel we should be defending our borders instead of attacking." Reyna said.
"She's right." Nico said. He had gotten more close to the other heroes, but still didn't talk much.

'Evil forces ignite. Perhaps it would be smart to make sure they don't ignite?" Leo said

Cassandra "We'll see about what we can do about this..." Percy said to Leo.
"Okay. No problem" Leo said. How could he be so calm with the whole situation?
Leo gave a friendly fist at Frank's head.
At least that was what he wanted to do.
Some hours later, the four demigod travelers were sitting on a couch with Melody next to them, angry with Leo's behaviour. Frank was sitting crosswise to him, with a bump on his head, looking at him angrily.
They were very lucky, because people at that camp were very kind and polite, and didn't boot them out from the praetor house and from the camp as well.
But there was still a wary atmosphere between Frank and Leo, and that was really strange, because Leo usually was the friendly one, the one that was always joking. But now he had a serious look on his face.
Melody's body was with her friends in that house, but her mind was travelling far away.
Everyone who was with her (except, of course, from the other campers, that weren't going at their camp) had done something speial and had saved someone.
As she learnt during their travel to the camp, Percy, Annabeth and Niko had done so many things together, and had gone to so many missions.
She was only a year younger from them. Well, Niko was the eldest, but at the same time the youngest from all, but he had asked from his father to do him a favor.
His father made him immortal, but not a god, of course. He could choose the age that he would have. He chose to be seventeen for all the eternity.
Like Thalia, that would be sixteen for the rest of her life: and that means for a long time, because she was an immortal, too, now that she had joined godess Artemis with the other archers. She had come at her old camp only for that summer. That was her last chance to spend time with her friends, before she says goodbye at them for the last time.
