SOLVED. Young Adult book about a group of random teens who have powers. Spoilers ahead. [s]

I read this series back in middle school, (2011-2015). There was a book for almost each character. I believe there were at least 4 teens- 2 twin boys, a girl, and another boy.
The twins could read each other's minds, and one of them was kidnapped and brought to some sort of institution. The other twin was transported back in time to his former self right (that he was not previously aware of) after his past self was killed. He helped a group of people defeat a dark force and then his consciousness returned to his present body.
I can't remember if the other boy had any powers, but I remember he got in trouble for vandalism or stealing and was sent to some mystical/warped institution. He escaped with the help of an older guy he met online.
The girl was able to indirectly control the weather. Despite what the forecast said, if she wore a raincoat that day, it would rain. If she wore a tank top and shorts, it would be sunny, etc. An attempt was made on her life and the boy previously mentioned was there to help her escape. I remember she had her head shaved to help conceal her identity. At the end of the book, it was implied that she had a caused a tsunami.

That sounds massively like the Gatekeepers series by Anthony Horowitz. The first two books are about a boy called Matt. Then there are two American brothers who can read each others minds. I think the girl in the series is actually called Storm and all of them can switch places with their past selves when they die or are in serious danger. Did one of the books take place in Peru?
