Quarterly Read-a-thon-Friday Dec 5th - Sunday Dec 7th INCL
I will give it a go, Brenda.Nothing but Aussie books but I won't re-read my own publications though others are quite welcome to read them.
I'll be in. Is the work Christmas party on the 5th going to a nice Irish pub for lunch and then hubby and I are staying in town so we can both have a glass or two of wine. So that night can put my feet up and read with no disturbances of the beagle kind :)

Every weekend is a busy weekend in December but I haven't been in a readathon in decades so I'm in. I've got an ereader and a cloth so it's safe from the choccies (although I never waste any by smearing)! Are there any restrictions on the books? Wonder if I can get the Friday off work?

Sounds like a lot of fun Brenda! I'm not sure how many pages I'll be able to add to your final count but it will be fun trying :)
Every little bit counts Kim:) And it's always loads of fun! No housework for 3 full days...I can cope with that;)
Hi Brenda, please count me in, I'm really looking forward to it (but secretly hoping this feed isn't cluttered with references by everyone to virtual drinks and food again, I was way more interested in what everyone was reading etc)

WOW, that's pretty impressive!
Hehehe, I've just said on a different thread that I have adopted a habit of noting the number of pages in the new books I am just starting, then marking the exact middle, so I know my progress. This challenge has come at a perfect time then! Count me in please Moderator Brenda.
I am intrigued: How does it work? I guess everyone counts the pages they read over the weekend and...?
Ok easy! I'm in, I gather from the above comments that you just read whatever you have going at the time.

Our goal will be a total of 15,000 pages read by all who participate. If we exceed that total, we will possibly increase it for our next quarterly read-a-thon.
Please post your interest here in this thread up until we begin the challenge - when the weekend is over the page number read will be tallied:)
If possible, check in at least once a day, more often if you want. Our cut off time for you to add your final totals will be 12noon Monday 8th AEST (in case you fall asleep Sunday night;))
Here's a little something to help motivate you;)
