I decided to change my plans for this prompt. The book I was reading is over 700 pages and too heavy (in content) for right now. I plan to read Dust by Hugh Howey as soon as my library hold comes in. It's book 3 in the Silo series. I read books 1 and 2 in 2019.

I keep changing my mind on this prompt! I've finally decided on Hardboiled & Hard Luck by Banana Yoshimoto. I selected it because I enjoyed another Japanese female author Hiromi Kawakami (Strange Weather in Tokyo) in 2019.
I am reading The Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Last year I read the Matthew Shardlake series by C.J. Sansom. The main character in the series is also a hunchback, so it seems look a good time to read another Hugo.
1. What are you reading for this category? The Stranger by Albert Camus
2. What prompted you to read this book?
In 2019 I read Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic by Alison Bechdel. In the book she mentions Camus' other work A Happy Death. I tried to get a copy of this book but my library didn't carry it. Then I saw that they had a copy of his more famous work The Stranger. I actually had never heard of Camus before reading Fun Home and was curious. Another book that was mentioned was Rubyfruit Jungle by Rita Mae Brown. I would have chosen this one if the The Stranger had not been available. If you are interested there is a list challenge for the all the books listed in Fun Home.
