Marie | 1060 comments I read The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss.

It was one of the examples given when the prompt was suggested last year, and I really wanted to read it, so it was the obvious choice.

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 3839 comments I read Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class on the Art of Organizing and Tidying Up by Maire Kondo.

I decided to do the author's 8 week challenge and the first step is to review the materials presented in her 2 books. I had read the first one but not this one. After finishing it, I realized it fit this prompt!

Tracy (tracky75) | 49 comments I'm using Cesar Millan's Short Guide to a Happy Dog: 98 Essential Tips and Techniques because I needed some answers for my dog, lol.

Jill (dogbotsmum) | 1356 comments What are you reading for this category?
I read Devices and Desires by P.D. James

How did you choose this book?
It was on my TBR list and I have been reading all this author's books with another group on Goodreads

star_fire13 | 197 comments 1. What are you reading for this category?
I am reading The Love & Lies of Rukhsana Ali

2. How did you choose this book?
This book has been on my to-read list for awhile, so when I saw it as one of the ATY suggestions, I knew this was the time! I have a hard time reading contemporary YA because the feels are too real (to what I experienced as a teen, and to what I see my students experience), so I'd been putting this one off. But here's the perfect opportunity!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas

How did you choose this book?
The emotion was in the title and I really wanted to read it.

Veronica (ronireads13) | 816 comments I read If It Makes You Happy by Claire Kann. I stumbled upon it when I was browsing Overdrive for something else. It caught my eye and I realized it would work for this prompt.

GailW (abbygg) | 657 comments 1. What are you reading for this category?
I read The Novel Habits of Happiness by Alexander McCall Smith

2. How did you choose this book?
I made a conscious decision in early April to switch my reading from "for the challenges" to "for my sanity while sheltering-in-place". I reached out for my perfect "stand-bys during a crisis", of which this series is one of them. Luckily this one was not only a sanity saver but a challenge prompt as well!

Anne | 307 comments I am reading A Mother's Shame by Rosie Goodwin

Alexx (dinosaurslayeggs) | 136 comments 1. What are you reading for this category?
I am reading The Hate U Give by Angie Cruz

2. How did you choose this book?
It wasn't my original choice, however, it was recommended to me a lot following the BLM movement as it was and is very relevant to what is happening in America, so I decided to read it instead of my original choice

Joan Barnett | 1972 comments 1. What are you reading for this category? Book Love
2. How did you choose this book? I actually changed my book for this prompt because I'm down to the end of the challenge and I had Truly Madly Guilty slotted here but I need that for the prompt an author of one of your best reads for 2018 or 2019.

Steven McCreary | 141 comments I read On Love by Alain de Botton. It happened to be on sale for kindle when I had just earned a couple of amazon bucks for choosing a later shipment date, so said, why not.

It was interesting. The author is more known for his philosophical writing than his fiction, and that was definitely apparent in this novel, but it did capture some of the emotion of the ups and downs of love.

Sarah (prairielily) | 177 comments I am listening to Anxious People by Fredrik Backman.

I am not usually a fiction audiobook person, but I am loving this!
