Hey I'm Kit, Im 19 and from NYC. I love YA, fantasy sometimes contemporary and I'm open to read anything really, just as long as it interest me. On a daily basis I read then I study then I read some more then watch netflix, sleep and repeat. My favorite series would probably be anything shadowhunters chronicles, though I really loved Splintered by A.G. Howard and This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab as well. I play videogames too in between all the books and studying. I love talking about the books and finding new books to read!

Hi! Cant tell you where I live but I'm from the US and formerly lived in TX! I am a deeeep lover of YA though I also love memoirs, self help and some middle grade like Rick Riordan. I read, bake, cook, read, read, roleplay a ton, make new friends on goodreads, also did I mention read? I'm very social so if you want to start a conversation or PM me I'm always gonna reply. Will friend basically anyone. My dream job would be working for a black cosmetic company. Thank u to Annabeth for inviting me! I am always up for YA recommendations. Hi everyone, this is my first time joining a Goodreads group!My name is Danni, I'm nineteen years old and I'm a born and raised Londoner!
My favourite genres include fantasy, psychological thriller and the occasional trashy romance. It would be hard to say what my favourite books are although I'm a fan of Leigh Bardugo, Stephanie Perkins, Holly Bourne and love basically anything YA :) I do also enjoy non fiction psychology!
When I'm not reading, I enjoy writing, working out, journalling and watching tv series!
I can't say that I have a dream job (I've learnt that doors open new opportunities everyday) although I am an aspiring journalist and I'm currently studying Sociology.

i have been in this group for a while, not sure how long, and i just haven't posted anything because i'm never active in groups but i feel like i should change that so hey everybody i'm katherine i'm from california and the only two things that define me are penguins and books. favorite penguin species: emperor, which feels super basic, but who cares. favorite book: a court of mist and fury by sarah j maas. house of earth and blood, also by sarah j maas was a real contender there, but i'm too attached to the court of dreams. favorite series include: the infernal devices by cassandra clare, the last hours by cassandra clare, skulduggery pleasant by derek landy, chronicles of nick by sherrilyn kenyon ((it's not actually that good of a series but for some reason i'm in love with it)), dark-hunters by sherrilyn kenyon ((her much better series do not read if you are like under 15 probably it's a uh very graphic adult romance series)), also all for the game by nora sakavic. stand alone favorites include: i'll give you the sun by jandy nelson, we are the wildcats by siobhan vivian, they both die at the end by adam silvera, red white and royal blue by casey mcquinston, between shades of gray by ruta sepetys, a matter of grave concern by brenda novak, starry eyes by jean bennett, and we were liars by e lockart

Hi y'all! I'm Ann. I'm 16, and I live in the United States. I just got out of an unfortunate, school-induced, two year long reading slump. I read a little bit of everything from historical non-fiction to YA to classics. I am a huge fan of almost all middle grade books I read, especially anything written by Rick Riordan. I'm currently reading The Red Pyramid, Song for a Whale, and Little Fires Everywhere. Outside of reading, I devote much of my time to theatre and Latin. I'm a big classics nerd both in terms of literature and history. I joined this group in finding other people who enjoy reading. I also love doing reading challenges, and this group seemed like a good place to find some of those. Can't wait to meet all of y'all!

Hello! My name is Katie, I am a 29 year old woman from Canberra Australia. I love Hard hitting YA contemporary, Light Sci-Fi, Light Fantasy, Non-Fiction biographies, feminist manifestos, books with strong friendship groups, books with awful family dynamics and Short story/essay collections. I do not enjoy speculative or fantastical elements to contemporary novels, non-fiction biographies with holy than thou authors or long series (more than 5 books, although there may be a few exceptions).
I currently have a challenge for myself to read through the entire Rory Gilmore (from Gilmore Girls) reading list. So far I have read 26 of 339. If anyone is interested, the best list is from Buzzfeed.
In my real life i have very few friends in which to discuss novels with, especially YA. I joined this group to hopefully participate in lengthy discussions, fun games and make some friends.
Feel free to add me as a friend or message me anytime for chats, I love meeting people and talking books. I love new suggestions, and thankfully Booktopia has afterpay so i can overload my cart (haha).
Outside of books I enjoy cross stitching, being a dog and cat mum, being a human step-mum, board games, DnD (dungeons and dragons) and organising dinner parties with friends.
