15.7 Creature Feature
Classical mythology is filled with fantastic beasts and creatures. Read a book with one of these words in the title or subtitle: centaur, chimera, dragon, giant, gorgon, griffin, harpy, minotaur, pegasus, satyr, sphinx, serpent, siren, unicorn. Plurals and possessives are ok, no other variations.

Teri-K Is it all right if the word is used in a different way? I'd like to read Facing Your Giants.

Thanks.

That would work
The word needs to be present and may only be used in the form in the list, the plural or the possessive. A word with alternate meanings may be used-I Hear the Sirens in the Street, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin

Teri-K Thanks for clarifying that. I've read the rules several times - but there are so many and this is my first time, so I wanted to double check.

Pia Hi!
Are re-reads allowed for this task? I finally found a book that fits, but I read it ages ago.

Also, siren is one of the fantastic creatures, but not mermaid?

rereads are allowed unless specifically excluded- this task does not exclude rereads

The list is not exhaustive. Mermaid is not a word on the list

Nicola | 1360 comments Dlmrose can I get your ruling on all of the Anne McCaffrey books about the Dragons of Pern ie Dragonflight; Dragondrums; Dragonsinger etc

She runs the words together on nearly all of the books.
