VDY | 11 comments I have a book which is a print of Hello, Sedna and Bon Bon Bon Bon Bon Bon. However the print is of both stories back to back and upside down. This means that depending on which way you are holding it, the "front" cover is different. This question extends to how the title should be input, neither of the two stories comes before the other since it's dependent on the orientation. I've included a picture of the book spread open so that you can see both the "front" and "back" covers to show what I mean.

An image like that (showing both covers together) is one option.

VDY | 11 comments Alright, would the orientation of the image matter? Should I leave it sideways like it is here (but cropped better), or should it be where one of the covers is right side up and the other is upside down? If so, which should be right side up? Does it matter? And also the order of the story names in the title?

All of those are a matter of personal preference.

In my personal opinion, side-by-side is best, and with both covers side up (so both titles can be easily read). For order I would put first the one on the true front cover, but it really shouldn't matter.

VDY | 11 comments Alright, so for the cover I'll take two photos and edit them side by side and right side up.

As for the second part, the issue is that there is no "true front cover", either one can be the front. I should mention, the text on the inside is also in the same orientation as the covers and flips in the middle, meaning that you could argue that either one is the front, depending on which way you happen to be holding it.

What this means in a visual sense is that you could hold the book with either cover in front of you and it would act as a front, i.e. the spine will be on the left, the text will be upright, everything is read left to right, etc.

There is also no copyright page/intro or closing of any kind to indicate a beginning or end to the book.

But from what you're saying, it doesn't really matter so for that problem I'll just flip a coin and pick one.

I'll go ahead and get it added this afternoon and post here for confirmation that it all looks alright. Thanks again for the response.

Interesting! With these 2-books-in-1 publications, usually one side has the copyright info etc. inside, and the other has the ISBN and bar code on it, making the "front" and "back" fairly obvious.

Gerd | 1050 comments Doesn't matter in which order you put the titles, but I would put them in alphabeitcal order, suits my OCD personality. :)

VDY | 11 comments Bon Bon Bon Bon Bon Bon / Hello, Sedna
I've added it here, I ended up going with alphabetical for Gerd's sake. Thank you to both of you for the help.
