All of those are a matter of personal preference.
In my personal opinion, side-by-side is best, and with both covers side up (so both titles can be easily read). For order I would put first the one on the true front cover, but it really shouldn't matter.

As for the second part, the issue is that there is no "true front cover", either one can be the front. I should mention, the text on the inside is also in the same orientation as the covers and flips in the middle, meaning that you could argue that either one is the front, depending on which way you happen to be holding it.
What this means in a visual sense is that you could hold the book with either cover in front of you and it would act as a front, i.e. the spine will be on the left, the text will be upright, everything is read left to right, etc.
There is also no copyright page/intro or closing of any kind to indicate a beginning or end to the book.
But from what you're saying, it doesn't really matter so for that problem I'll just flip a coin and pick one.
I'll go ahead and get it added this afternoon and post here for confirmation that it all looks alright. Thanks again for the response.

Interesting! With these 2-books-in-1 publications, usually one side has the copyright info etc. inside, and the other has the ISBN and bar code on it, making the "front" and "back" fairly obvious.

I've added it here, I ended up going with alphabetical for Gerd's sake. Thank you to both of you for the help.
