what does this saay about human and why we do certain things?

I think this shows that ones actions can easily effect others and everyone has a breakpoint making every respond differently some more drastic than others

I think it shows that no one is one-layered; that even if we consciously devote ourselves to a path of morality (eg Aliocha), immorality (Fiódor) or ammorality (Ivan), and define ourselves through this path, our complex unconscious sometimes rebels (for reasons unknown) and brings forth different parts of our whole.
