Rachel | 6 comments It's already time to think about Christmas! December 25th is exactly 6 weeks away from today, time is ticking by alarmingly quickly! What I want to know is what books are on your Christmas wishlist? Personally I would love to receive The Bone Clocks because (1) David Mitchell is a wonderful writer and (2) the library reserve queue on it is pretty long! I would also love the receive Hand-Lettering Ledger as I have been practicing my lettering recently. What would you put on your wishlist?

My other question - what books are you buying for others this Christmas, and why? I haven't thought of the right person to give it to yet, but I would like to give What If? (by the creator of xkcd) away, because it's a perfect blend of science and humour. What books would you like to share with others this Christmas?

Erica My book wishlist would probably be far too long to include here! haha. I wouldn't mind some new releases. I tend not to read books that are newly released cos they're harder to get out at the libs and I don't often buy books brand new. I did get some Unity Book vouchers for my birthday recently...could always use more of those!

But in answer to your second question I've bought one of my friends The Bone Clocks, she's a big David Mitchell fan. I also bought her young daughter The Smallest Turtle because her pre-school class has a pet turtle.

Stephanie Ackerman I would love to get The Yacoubian Building and The Hakawati - slightly unusual choices I know but I read them both this year and really enjoyed them. I would also love to receive The Girl on the Train: A Novel - I've reserved it at the library. It's currently on order but the publication date is set at 2015, which has me a bit worried!

I've bought two Gabriel Garcia Marquez books in Spanish for my partner, as Spanish is his first language and he's a huge Garcia Marquez fan. I also bought a Pinkabella book for my 3 year old niece!
