I am trying to draw it out, but when I sit down to read the pages just fly by.

I completely understand that feeling! I get so lost in the story.

I'm glad you're not having any issues with it! I've decided to split up the pages by week even so I can indulge and take my time. But I do get so hooked that it's hard to quit. It's a different way of reading to me for sure.
We’re one month into our Dune read-along. You did it! Whether you've been following along since the beginning or you're just joining us, flip back through our October discussions and join in. Thoughts on Gurney Halleck (I adore him and his baliset, okay), some questions, favorite quotes--it's all there. And now we're moving into the next part of our journey.
From November 1-30, we're going to dive into the second half of Book I (also called Dune). If you have Penguin Random House's Dune: Deluxe Edition, it's page numbers 120-245.
If you're reading another version, stop reading at the end of Book I.
I'm normally an all-in reader, meaning I will often invest hours at a time into reading. I make books into all-consuming events. That said, I'm enjoying the pace of this read-along because I'm digesting so much more. Like eating more slowly so you can enjoy it and not overwhelm your palate. Yes, I am really leaning into this food comparison...perhaps because I haven't eaten lunch yet.
What sort of discussions would you like to see more of in November? Let me know!
