Thanks for your help and all, Andrew, but this thread is for SUPERS. Please refrain from messing with other people's posts unless you're a super- they have the ability (and have been given the power) to ask for clarification or to make a change. If you have an issue with something, please flag or use the PM feature. It's not your job to follow behind everyone checking their requests for accuracy.
ETA: The ebook was not the default when I separated that edition, just FYI since you seem to need to know everything. It's not unheard of on GR for the the default edition to show incorrectly.

When I searched for "A Slight Trick of the Mind" by Mitch Cullin, this entry comes up, which has almost no metadata associated with it, including ISBN. It also is the one linked to the author's page: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4...When I searched for the same book by ISBN (978-1-4000-7822-6), this result came up, which was much more complete, and shows multiple editions: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/9...
It seems like the default edition is not linked with any of the other editions and it is incomplete.

#609 I see this was done elsewhere. The primary author name on the record has to have your middle initial since that is on the cover. I have added your Goodreads author name as the secondary author so it is tied to your profile. If you’d like your profile name changed to include the middle initial you can contact Support; all your books could be under just one name then.

#611 regarding Haruki Murakami - It appears someone tried to add an existing book with an ISBN in the wrong spot, truncating it. Then that was deleted and someone changed information, likely not realizing they should post in this group.
Since that was done a long time ago, almost everyone reviewing it was referring to the author himself as you noted, rather than a particular book. Therefore I decided to delete it outright instead of merging it with another book.
#613 The one without a cover was the paperback edition. I added the cover from Amazon and combined the editions.

#618 and 626 I corrected the capitalization errors. It’s easy for us to edit the records to correct mistakes so next time just start a new thread for that.
Ellen, it gets confusing when part of a request is completed as I did not understand why there was a cover when the author said there was not. We don’t necessarily see posts several comments down from the original when we are addressing it.

#640 one of them was merged earlier but there was another edition that I merged.
#641 That edition appears to be an alternate cover edition of another copy. They have slight differences in font (no pun intended). So, it didn’t need to be deleted. There were however several other editions that needed merging.

#651 I combined and merged Sea Oak with Pastoralia, since it appears in that anthology. Stories included in literary magazines and other publications like the New Yorker are not considered “published separately,” even if those publications have posted the stories online.
#653 I reverted where someone deleted the cover of one of the editions. Since these are two different views of the book set, should they be alternate cover editions? The view of the set is what is on the publisher site.

I am Murakami fan myself and never heard that he have written anything titled "Haruki Murakami". The entry does not have any identifiers, no description. I cannot find anything like that on the rest of the internet. Based on the few reviews and questions, it is more a discussion of the author's work as a whole and not a specific book.
