Those appear to be legitimately sold as a box set.
#23-31 Toffee, as a librarian you should separate the duplicate edition together with the correct one from the other editions before requesting a merge.

Dear LibrariansMy book, DEADWEIGHT: An autobiographical novel about Borderline Personality Disorder, is listed twice. However, the other listing has an inaccurate description, cover and author name, and no link to valid product pages on Amazon, or an active author page on Goodreads. Further, it is causing consternation among readers, who post reviews for the wrong book, misleading their friends and followers. Toffee, you must have misread #32, please separate BOTH editions and combine them together. That way one gets merged into another and then we recombine.

All of the books have to be combined together under the first name it was published under. Out of print books cannot be deleted and valid information cannot be changed or removed. Instead, you can set the newest edition as default from the previous author account to avoid confusion. You can also send Support a message if you would like them to do that for you.

I see you have previously been asked not to alter information. I highly recommend that you stop; you are at risk of losing your editing privileges.

I have two author profiles. The old Deadweight hasn't been in print for years.
Recently, I rewrote it, and it is not the same book, or an updated edition. It is 10,000 words less for a start, with every line rewritten, chapters rearanged or deleted. It is also by a different author: Nick Crutchley rather than Nicholas Boyd Crutchley. Two separate legal and psychological entities.
All I want to do is have one edition of Deadweight: Autobiographical novel about Borderline Personality Disorder, by Nick Crutchley. This is for medical reasons. Please put all other editions under Nicholas Boyd Crutchley, not Nick Crutchley.
I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I needed to simplify my author profile and begin again, with a single edition for my three books.
And this author profile has not broken any rules. My other author profile might have. I want to move on from the past and begin again.

I thought I should add that I have a severe form of OCD in regards to mental compulsions.
It makes life difficult, and hence my desire to separate the two distinct, different books, and begin again with a new author profile. I will be abandoning Nicholas Body crutchley when this is resolved, and sticking only with Nick Crutchley. If we can have the single edition, Deadweight: An autobiographical novel about Borderline Personality Disorder, that would be great, without connection to others.
I do not wish to suffer psychological harm by interacting with older editions from 5 years ago, for a book that was only available for two weeks.
I wish to begin again and avoid potential triggers from what potentially may be complex PSTD, on top of the BPD and OCD I have already been diagnosed with.
My issues arose because my new book didn't list when searched for, unlike the old edition.

You can set the default edition that people see in your profiles and in searches.

There is only one edition with Nick on the cover.
The other editions with Nicholas should be attributed to the following author profile:

Currently, the book is attributed to two seperate Goodreads author profiles: Nick Crutchley and Nicholas Boyd Crutchley. This will increase confusion and reduce Goodreads User experience.
So, to make it easy, could you associate the book https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3...
with
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
And make sure it is separate from this author profile.
This should remedy the situation.

As Emily explained to you in msg #51 upthread, all editions must be combined under the name they were first published under, i.e. Nicholas Boyd Crutchley. Therefore, this name has been added as primary author to all editions.
You can make one of the latest editions the default by following the instructions in msg #4 of the Author FAQ: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... You must do so from your Nicholas Boyd Crutchley account.
Alternatively, you can ask Support to set the default for you: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta...
That is also the place to discuss Goodreads policy on primary and secondary author names and combining editions.
Librarians do not make the policy, we simply have to follow it.

I had a new author page. The book Deadweight, by Nicholas Boyd Crutchley, is about Michael Hawkins. It is 80,000 words.
I created a new Author Page because I wrote another book, but liked the old title. They are distinctly differently works, with separate Amazon Author Pages.
My review status has been lowered to 3.92 from 5.
I am raising money for charity with this book, and working with PDAN in America.
I Did not request you combine the editions from another author with mine. Nicholas Boyd Crutchley is a separate legal entity.
So, please separate Nicholas Boyd Crutchley from Nick Crutchley.
Yes, there is only two editions... the kindle and the paperback entitled Deadweight: an autobiographical novel about Borderline Personality Disorder by Nick Crutchley. The book relates to Nick Crutchley.
All other titles are about Michael Hawkins. They are not the edition of the same book. That is why I rebranded as Nick Crutchley.

Regarding #42, the covers are supposed to be the same since it’s the same editions but the Librarian uploaded the wrong one. As you can see with the following link, it’s the cover for a preview of the book and not the actual novel: http://www.hugoetcie.fr/livres/ps-i-l...
The cover isn’t the right one but the rest of the data correspond to the paperback’s version of the book. Is it possible to merge them then?
