ABANDONED. Novel About Execution that was Stopped Last minute

The man was about to be executed and was in the execution chamber. He passed or had a seizure right before the news came the execution was halted. I'm pretty sure it was available on Kindle.

When did you read this Joanne? Since it deals with an execution, I'm assuming this was either an Adult or at least an NA? Do you remember anything else about the book--like why the execution was halted, if he lived through the problem he was having? How did you find it?

I just read the beginning. I think I may have purchased it for my Kindle but looking through all of them, I couldn't find it. His wife was in the execution chamber.
