ABANDONED. girl has a boyfriend who doesn’t exist and possibly kills new kid?

i read a book about a girl who had a deaf or mute boyfriend who played piano, but a new boy came to her school so she started hanging out with him and skipping school. she ultimately ended up not having a real boyfriend because she was imagining him and i believe she killed the new boy in the end and i just can’t seem to remember the name.
