One of my daydreams was to have a time machine so I could warn Montezuma about Cortes and show Montezuma how to make gunpowder. I did a past story on that but it still isn't out of my system.

Understood, thanks Kalifer. Again, well done. Have you ever read Harry Turtledove's "Guns of the South"?

With the many-worlds interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, maybe going back in time is possible, but you will be in a new branched off parallel Universe and not really affecting the one you came from. Just a thought I don't really believe. Even so, I hate to see the bad guys going back in time without the good guys finding out and trying to neutralize them.

Thanks Tom. Would have liked to see more plot than talk, but sometimes that's how the story comes to me.
Hey Chris, glad your "Checking in". I'll read all the stories together tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
Anyone doing any travelling for Thanksgiving?

I'm feeling crabby about it, and starting to wonder how California Whale might taste with a little dab of mayo and some of that famous SF French Bread.

Whale is better with horseradish, but i hear there's a shortage of that, too. I think the Oysters are behind it all.

To conserve resources, I followed the edit of Reduce, Reuse, Reanimate, so some of it may be familiar. Still fun to do the re-write. A friend suggested removing a reference to Gilligan’s Island as it seemed out of place with the feel of the story.
Some very good stories this month, really looked at difference aspects of the theme. I hope mine is as good as the median.

With the grading categories I use, it's easy to rate stories and eliminate any problems with stories rating higher due to order or personal bias. Also, if everyone were to use a standard rating system like this, it would be very interesting to tabulate results, such as who had the most (or least) ratings for compliance with the story guidelines for the 2nd quarter of 2019. But again, this is just an idea that might be worthy of discussion.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
