Like Cendaquenta said last year's list was released in mid-November. We just have to wait and see when Popsugar will release next year's list
My Facebook memories reminded me that 2018's list was released on the 2nd and I just don't think I can wait until mid-month like 2019's list. Here's hoping they split the difference!
I've been checking every day for the past week now! ATY has released their list so I am anxious to see how many match up.

Here's hoping they split the difference!"Tara Block says she's not ready to release the date that the list is coming out. So, I'd say it will be at least another week.
Johanna wrote: "I've been checking every day for the past week now! ATY has released their list so I am anxious to see how many match up."Same! I have 52 books already written down and would like as much double-dipping as possible!

For those of you in the PopSugar Facebook group, they're taking a poll about books being made into movies being included on the next list. The yeses are winning by a fair margin, and since I know a bunch of people here don't like that prompt, I figured I would let you know, so you can vote.
Ugh! Didn't we just have that this year? And I think the year before? Do I have to join that page to vote? I put in a request.....

They're going to be wondering about the flurry of requests to join the group! If they are going to include it I hope it won't be limited to 2020 films.
Thanks for the heads up! Wonder if it's worth making a Facebook account just to go there and vote no...
Hi everyone!! I just wanted to jump in to say thank you so much for your participation in the reading challenge. It means so much, seriously, to see the enthusiasm and positive discussions in this group. I read every single one of your suggestions for prompts and have insane docs with all the big-picture feedback you provide year after year. I appreciate all you guys do to help make the reading challenge what it is, and I think you'll love what we have in store for 2020! I promise, it's coming soon, and I will be posting some exclusive details over in the FB group, so if you haven't joined yet, I'd love to see you over there as well! I've also clarified the poll on the book-to-movie prompt, which I did post based on your feedback that you're over "a book becoming a movie in 2020." So if the poll does swing to "yes" I'll be including something a little more broad. :) Excited for you to see the finished challenge!!!

Tara wrote: "Here's the link to the FB group! https://www.facebook.com/groups/42747..."Wondering why the "vote" couldn't happen within the Goodreads group. The Around the Year Challenge, which selects all its prompts by vote, does all its voting within its Goodreads account. I don't need another Facebook group, so I won't be joining. If I did, I would be another "no" vote for a book being made into a movie.

I kind of agree. It seems kind of terrible to put the poll on the fb group which has like 2300 members vs this Goodreads group with 24000. I can't really see any justification for that. Why not have a poll on outside site that you could then share with both groups?
As I've always understood it, this isn't an offical group run by Pop Sugar. The Facebook group is, so that's why the poll is there.
Sarah wrote: "As I've always understood it, this isn't an offical group run by Pop Sugar. The Facebook group is, so that's why the poll is there."Yep. That's exactly it.
I kind of agree about the vote. I had no idea that the Facebook group even existed until the poll was mentioned, and I joined the wrong group completely at first. It would be great to put the poll link at least in both places. Can't wait for the new challenge!
Rachel wrote: "I kind of agree about the vote. I had no idea that the Facebook group even existed until the poll was mentioned, and I joined the wrong group completely at first. I know there are tons of messages in this group and it's hard to see everything, but I assure you we put the word out.

I just meant that I would have loved to join the FB page much earlier!
@Rachel A. that would be awesome! You always have valuable contributions to the conversation. I'm in the FB group as well so look forward to seeing you there :)

Goodreads is my reading site. PopSugar is one of the challenges I do each year, but I have no desire to be in a FB group for it.

I'm trying to cut back on fb as it is, so I'm not joining the group, but does it say when the list will be released in full? I'm impatient lol

They didn't say. I just posted the question of whether they were posting one at a time for the next 50 days or just doing 7 to 10 and posting the full thing next week. I'll post the answer if/when I get one.
Jackie wrote: "I'm trying to cut back on fb as it is, so I'm not joining the group, but does it say when the list will be released in full? So even if you aren't in the group, or don't check it often, you'll be able to check here to see what we know.
I fully anticipate that the full list will be released sometime this month, but it's hard to say for sure when exactly it will be. I doubt Popsugar is going to say in the FB group either ;)
Since there isn't a like button we can click on in messages here, I just wanted to say Thank you! to Sara for all the information :)
Denise Cameron wrote: "Since there isn't a like button we can click on in messages here, I just wanted to say Thank you! to Sara for all the information :)"We are happy to help! And I sure do wish there was a "like" button on here so it would be easier to acknowledge people's comments :)
2nd prompt is out!A book with the same title as a movie or TV show but is unrelated to it
This is a different twist! I like it!
