2020 Pop sugar challenge
I'm loving these one-a-day prompts. It's like I log on every morning for my daily book scavenger hunt.
I LOVE this prompt, Ellie. For personal reasons :)Although, I hope the whole list is posted soon. It's hard to plan books for these prompts without knowing the rest of them. I need to know which books to put on my Christmas list! And which books to wait to read until next year!

I haven't decided how I feel about the daily prompt release. So far I'm just reading the titles, but not putting much thought into planning nor reading the threads yet. I do like the prompts so far.
I'm really intrigued by the prompts that have been put out so far, and I'm liking them a lot.But I'm also really eager for them to drop the full list on us. I need the whole list in order to plan! Not that I follow plans anyway.,. that's just the fun part for me.

Thank you so much for the reply! It's my first PopSugar Challenge and wasn't sure about the date, I know at least two challenges that usually starts and the middle of the year, that's why I didn't want to assume a date! Thank you again for your answer! :)
Sarah wrote: "I need the whole list in order to plan! Not that I follow plans anyway.,. that's just the fun part for me."Me too! I love planning it all out, then I replan a couple times throughout the year, and I never totally follow any of my plans. >.<
I’m logging the prompts on my spreadsheet, and then putting various options next to them if they double dip from ATY, but not making final decisions yet. It would be nice if they’d drop the whole list sooner rather than later...
I think a week of teasers is probably enough, hopefully the full list will be out next week. I've finished my challenges for this year so I kinda want to know if I need to put aside some books that would fill difficult prompts, rather than reading them now.
I'm enjoying the sneak peeks!! It's fun to put all my focus on just ONE prompt instead of the breathless rush of going through the entire list in one day.
I'm sure they won't drip-drap the entire list to us one each day - the full list will come out.

I agree, I love the sneak peek approach, but unfortunately it seems we're in the minority.

I wouldn't mind it so much if they would just tell us if they are going to "sneak peek" all 50 prompts or just 7-15.
I'm going to count on the list not being completed until each prompt has been rolled out. In the meantime I'll plan a week's worth of prompts at a time. I find I can't do all 52 prompts on ATY in a few days so this cluster planning will work for me.
There are 45 days until 2020 according to google, and they have already released 6 prompts, so when they started, there were 51 days left in the year. I'm really starting to wonder if they're just releasing the list on NYE this year.
Woohoo!From Tara:
"FINAL 2020 Reading Challenge sneak peek! Share your book recs below and check back tomorrow! 🗺
A book with a map"
I am still diligently trying to complete the past challenges, but I'm very excited to see the new list.
Well I imagine that they won't preview all the prompts just because some prompts repeat from year to year
I´ve noticed the sneak peeks have come out at 4.20 pm Central European Time. I wonder if this won´t be the time the list is released. This will allow me to get work done today (between frantically refreshing website).
I think Tara's in California, so I won't bother checking until later as I'm sure she's asleep right now.
Ellie wrote: "I think Tara's in California, so I won't bother checking until later as I'm sure she's asleep right now."Yeah, that also makes sense with the time of sneak peeks being morning for her. I will wait to check again till later :)
LOL I'm kind of wondering when the list comes out, too! Most sneak peeks came out at 7:20 am PST, but two came out earlier. I have no idea when the full list will break, but I've got a morning meeting so I'm going to be busy for a little while.
Just a reminder to all to have patience once the list drops ;) You guys have really been awesome about this. Nadine and I will be frantically opening both discussion threads and listopias for each remaining prompt. Not knowing if the list will continue to be split into "regular" and "advanced" means we will have to determine how to organize it only after we get the list.
We're all thinking the same way! I have 2 morning meetings and a stack of proposals I have to get through for a morning meeting tomorrow. I'm going to be working frantically before my first meeting. I need to not check back until I get my work done. I'll be so distracted after seeing the list.

a novel dealing with one person's formative years or spiritual education.
Maybe we please also get the Post Your List thread today as well? It's always been where I've done my planning and when it was delayed last year it threw me off. Please and thank you *tips hat* *puppy dog eyes*
FYI: Wikipedia also says this about Bildungsroman:In literary criticism, a Bildungsroman is a literary genre that focuses on the psychological and moral growth of the protagonist from youth to adulthood, in which character change is important
Just adding because it feels like it broadened the scope a bit.

Thanks..... but I'm looking for the list in a form that I can copy to a GR post in the numerical order we are using in this group.
poshpenny wrote: "They will post a thread for that with a handy-dandy blank list at the top."ok...thanks.
I have not gotten any work done all day! (Except when someone comes to me with something!) Anyone else having a similar problem? Lol!
I have picked a book for most of the prompts and I wanted to address a comment I saw on Facebook about someone not understanding why everyone is making lists beforehand. I have made a partial list, but it by no means set in stone. I’m a mood reader and may or may not want to read what I picked. If I suddenly find myself at work with a finished book and trying to pick the next read then I won’t have to spend my lunch break searching for something that fits. To each their own I say. This is a fun addition to my reading life.
I think everyone in this group does it differently. This will be my third year, and I am planning for the prompts I know won´t be filled by accident, and I will spread those over the year (hopefully) so I am not stuck in the end with the ones that are hard for me (for 2020 it´s western and medical thriller among others). Otherwise I am a planner who don´t follow plan (i.e. I like the list making and the research aspect, but I don´t like to follow a plan).
