(view spoiler)[ I like Ari a lot. She's not perfect or particularly skilled, but she's kind and loyal, and she's willing to train with the hopes of defeating someone so much powerful than her. I have to say, I don't like her brother much though. Sebastian is pretty interesting. I feel like there is a lot about his character we still don't know at this point in the story. (hide spoiler)]

I actually just renewed my audiobook because there was no one in line, but I had The Babysitter's Coven checked out and 3 other people were waiting so I switched to that one. I should finish that tomorrow and then pick The Wish Granter back up this weekend

(view spoiler)[So I'm loving Ari. She's trying to learn how to kill Teague and while this girl is beyond uncoordinated, like her brother there's nothing she won't do to protect him. I know her brother had to make that deal for there to be a story but come on everyone knows you never make deals like that when the price is too high. Even if it's ten, twenty or thirty years from now no one should sell their soul I mean duh lol (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Well I kind of feel dumb, not once did I think Teague was Rumplestiltskin. Still can’t believe Sebastian had to steal 100 souls not knowing really if he’d be able to give them back. Was really hoping they could bring Cleo back 😥 Overall it was good. I liked Ari and Sebastian, talk about two determined headstrong characters!!! (hide spoiler)]

I was really bummed about Cleo! I tend to like the MC's best friend more than them in a lot of books, and although she didn't appear in this book a lot, I did like her character.
I thought this was a Rumplestiltskin retelling, so when he said his name I wasn't surprised, I was just wondering why he hadn't said it up until that point 😅
I was disappointed in Sebastian when he agreed to take 100 souls just to save Ari, but when I found out he was going to take Teague's employees, I couldn't make myself feel bad about that. Especially if they were all like his father. I actually don't remember if those people got them back....
I felt like after all they went through and Teague always seeming to be three steps ahead of them, they managed to defeat him pretty easily at the very end. It just seemed very sudden and easy after a lot of build up.
I rated the first book 3.5 stars and I will probably rate this one the same. I can't really decide which one I liked better because I read that one years ago.
