Am I the Only One Who Liked this Book?

Okay. So I read Modelland about two years ago, and I couldn't get enough of it. I wrote a rave review here and now it has a spot in my favorites shelf, which is very particular.
I read other reviews here in our inner sanctum of Goodreads and.....well, this novel was ill received by most who read it.
Am I the only one who liked this novel? If you read this book, please post exactly why you loved it or hated it, and if you didn't read it, at least give it a chance, pretty please :)
And if there are any books that you liked but everyone else hated, please post them.

I have never read this book but I really like Tyra Banks so it if going on my to read list. I love this book the Golden Compass but from the movie made this book have a bad rap but if you read the whole series of 3 books it has some of the most beautiful love stories that I have ever read about.

Yay! Your the first person to post in my forum! The Golden Compass in on my list of to-read, and I didn't see the movie, but I'm one of those people who like to read the source material first and then compare to whatever adaption it my have. I would think the book is better than the movie, anyway.
