So, this book is about a bbw that goes on a date with a millionaire/billionaire.
They hit it off and start dating.
There’s some type of auction going on and the hero told the heroine to bit on him and make sure to be the highest bidder.
There’s another woman that’s bidding on him and she keeps raising her bid. The hero takes the mic and tells everyone that he’d rather take the other woman home, instead of being forced to go with the heroine (insinuating that he isn’t into big women). He’s intentionally trying to humiliate the heroine and he succeeded.
The girl is being insulted and disrespected through the media, the people she’s encounters and her business suffers do to his cruel words. She’s a matchmaker or smth like that and most of her clients drop her, after she’s made to look like some sort of desperate stalker.
Her bff suggests that she should take some time of and leave the country until this blows over. She flies to Thailand (i think) and actually manages to somewhat relax.
Turns out that the hero thought that she betrayed him. Someone was trying to sell private information to the media and he assumed that it was the heroine, since she was the only one that had that information.
He finds out that it wasn’t her that her ex was behind it. He apparently broke into her home and stole some papers. He tries to make it up to her but she isn’t Gavin it and keeps shutting him down. The hero goes after the ex and makes hard for him. The ex gets mad and brakes into her home again, with the intention to assault and rape her. The hero gets to her just in time.
I’ve read this about 2-3 years ago and it was either two separate books or maybe a trillions.
