It just occurred to me that you and Dem might end up reading different books for the challenge. We shall see. We shall see. Maybe you'll be able to read the same book but for different tasks.
Janice wrote: "It just occurred to me that you and Dom might end up reading different books for the challenge. We shall see. We shall see. We may have to be more diligent this time around.
This looks great Jannene. Best of luck to you and Dom!
Janice wrote: "It just occurred to me that you and Dem might end up reading different books for the challenge. We shall see. We shall see. Maybe you'll be able to read the same book but for different tasks."hmmm are you trying to scare us.. any hints about the 2020 challenge? We won't tell!
Janice wrote: "Here's a hint. I wrote two sets of tasks. Yay, or Nay?"L'm always up for a challenge so Yay!
Sounds like it's going to be a big challenge, going to warn my boyfriend that our conversations cannot last more than 10 minutes per day starting January 1st!!
Dominique wrote: "Sounds like it's going to be a big challenge, going to warn my boyfriend that our conversations cannot last more than 10 minutes per day starting January 1st!!"I'm sure he'll be impressed with that. :)

More time for him to play his video games and me not bothering him.
Dominique wrote: "Sounds like it's going to be a big challenge, going to warn my boyfriend that our conversations cannot last more than 10 minutes per day starting January 1st!!"Hahaha! I'm sure he knows how it works by now. ;)
This is great! Hope you ladies have a great reading year. Looks like you will have fun with it.

Oh yeah, he's used to it! also it helps that I work days and he nights. On weekends, we do take the time to be together.

Your first two series do not have their “first-in-series” title on my TBR list but all of the others do. Unfortunately, you are ahead of me on all of them. I will watch your progress with interest and wish you all the best on your killing spree. My series killing challenge will remain “as is” except with the new year at the top. I keep thinking to eliminate some, but I cannot bear to let them go, if they can be finished. I may consider a paper list for some of the old, old ones.
I’m always looking forward to what Janice has in store for us and how I can apply my books.
Cherie wrote: "Your first two series do not have their “first-in-series” title on my TBR list but all of the others do. Unfortunately, you are ahead of me on all of them. I do have a list of series that I read the 1st book and will not continue the series because I didn't like it.
Cherie wrote: "Your first two series do not have their “first-in-series” title on my TBR list but all of the others do. Unfortunately, you are ahead of me on all of them. Janice wrote: "Cherie wrote: "Your first two series do not have their “first-in-series” title on my TBR list but all of the others do. Unfortunately, you are ahead of me on all of them. I will watch your progress..."I did some TBR cleaning and a few series didn't make the cut.
I still have orphans leaking out of a few series that I have killed in the past and it really annoys me. I would have been happier if they had not been killed off in the original challenge, but how were we to know that they would not remain dead? Some of them really annoy me even more when new authors take over for those that have passed on. In a couple of cases, I have limited myself to the original author, and others, to include the new one. I still have to read book #6 in the Millennium series. Did you guys finish that one?If I can manage to add one of your newer ones, or catch up, I might join in. Aren't some of your listed series still live? I mean don't they still have books being published. I really want to get some "dead authors and their books" off of my list.
Cherie wrote: "I still have orphans leaking out of a few series that I have killed in the past and it really annoys me."We have that too where we have orphans leaking out...like the Charlie Parker, Pendergast and Harry Bosch. They still live. There are a few that I quit reading when the new authors took over like the Mitch Rapp series. I tried the one with Kyle Mills as the author and quit. He doesn’t write the same as Vince Flynn no matter what people say.
We still have the Millennium one to read so that will be an orphan to kill off.
You can catch up on a few. Let us know what you are interested in and we can move things around. We just are working on planning what we may want to read next year, so we can wait a few months on some if you want to join. ;)
There are new Pendergast books??? I will be glad to read the last Millennium book with you.
The Dublin Murder squad is one I would like to catch up with you on. I have wanted to get into it for some time. I bought the first book for some task like "white cover with minimum black" and it sits in my book shelf staring at my back when I am working at my desk. I have too many of these.

We're all in the same boat.
the last Pendergast came out early this year, we did start it but it was bit slow so we decided to pick it up later when the time is right.
We only read two of the Dublin so no problem we'll wait for you.
Jannene wrote: "Oh there is a hint for the yearly challenge and all will be exposed early."Oh I have to check it out!
It looks like the Forensic HF series of four books that Janice mentioned in my thread might be a good add to read and kill off on our series lists next year too.
Cherie, l'm adding you in my list to blame when my boyfriend says how come I still have a book in my hand. Jannene can't be the only one!
Dominique wrote: "Cherie, l'm adding you in my list to blame when my boyfriend says how come I still have a book in my hand. Jannene can't be the only one!"Lol!! I’m glad to finally get company on the list.

Yes it"s us but with more meat on our bones!
Cherie wrote: "LOL! You two are a crack up. I hope I can take the pressure."Don't worry, we read at our own pace. We don't stress with the length of time each reads a book.
Jannene wrote: "Dom’s doing more planning than me! She’s dragging me kicking and screaming so early. ;)"L'm preparing you.. maybe I should become your drill sergeant! no push-ups!
Dom killed off the orphan we had The Girl in the Woods while I’m still working on it. It is an extremely slow start. I keep looking at the paperback glaring. I feel like it is mocking me.I killed off The Da Vinci Code. I think Dom is still working on it. It was a very good book. I love how the author describes all of the cities but I’m starting to see a pattern with Robert Langdon and Jack Reacher. It seems like both of them are ladies men and it surprises me with one being a professor.
Jannene wrote: "Dom killed off the orphan we had The Girl in the Woods while I’m still working on it. It is an extremely slow start. I keep looking at the paperback glaring. I feel like it is mocki..."If people leave me alone, I might be done by the time I leave work.
Cherie wrote: "Did you already read Angles and Demons (Robert Langdon#1)?"Yes, Dom forced me to read that in December. Next month is The Lost Symbol. She’s lucky I’m a good friend because I bought the book and had it mailed to her so she would be ready. ;)
Jannene wrote: "Yes, Dom forced me to read that in December. Next month is The Lost Symbol. She’s lucky I’m a good friend ..."ROFL!!! Actually, I did not like The Lost Symbol as much. I think I was in the minority though.
