Chumnuo | 15 comments Eragon I am page 7 of my book. I like this book so far. It is very descriptive, and invites readers to feel enveloped in every moment. If this book turns out boring, I am yet to find out. The main character seems to be a young man named Eragon. Right now, Eragon is hunting deer to prepare for winter. His family's survival depends on how well he hunts.

Eduardo | 4 comments I am on page 98 in my book Temeraire, Empire of Ivory. What I like about this book is that there is a lot of action and I also like that the book is very descriptive. What I don't like is the fact that sometimes the book uses very confusing language. This is not a type of book I usually read because usually, I read books with much more simple language. Nathan Seibert | 6 comments Dragonwatch
Currently I am on page 114 in my book and so far nothing super exciting has happened. The thing I really like about the book is the genre-fantasy and the author. I have read all of Brandon Mull's other books except the next books in the series. The only thing I don't really like is the amount of detail and how long it is taking to get to an exciting bit. This is a type of book I would read because it is my favorite genre and is written by my favorite author.

Kyla Mitchell | 5 comments Fyre (Septimus Heap, #7) by Angie Sage I am currently on page 226 of Septimus Heap: Fyre. I like the series but I believe that it doesn't describe things in much depth. It also takes a long time to get to the part of the book that the summary talks about. But I love the characters and their personalities. I know I like a book when I wish that the characters were real which is how I feel for this series. Right now a big point is that Septimus is trying to decide whether he should apprentice Marcia or Marcellus. Septimus decided to continue to apprentice Marcia so Marcellus chooses Simon to be his new apprentice. I like this decision because I think that Simon deserved a chance to be good again. I think that Simon will be good at it. Another big point is that Marcellus hasn't told Marcia about the fact that he already got the Fyre started. I predict that Marcia will find out before Marcellus tells her and she will be really mad but eventually get over it because she needs the Fyre to save the Dragon Boat. I am also really happy that Simon and Lucy finally got married. Lastly, I predict that Spit Fyre is the Dragon Boat's son. I think this because Jannit the boat keeper thought it at the end of a chapter and it made me realize that it makes a lot of sense.

Simon Stump | 6 comments 1984 I am on page 340 of 1984. This book is strange because the language is somtimes hard to understand and pace is also pretty strange. However the plot is incredble and very thought provoking. Right now I am at the part where Winston and Julia are reading the book by Emmanuel goldstien. I have mixed feelings about this part because on one hand it is super deep and thought provoking. It is also provides insight into modern day scociety. However on the other hand it is pretty boring because is has no action in it.

Calvin Cavada | 3 comments Stay Where You Are and Then Leave I am on page 54 of my book. I'm enjoying this book so far. Even though it's slow right now I feel like there's potential for something exciting to happen. So far in the book, the main character's dad has to serve in World War 2. Alfie, the main character, has to find a way to help his mom with the bills so he goes to the train station a few mornings a week and shines people's shoes.

message 8: by Greta (new)

Greta H | 4 comments Hour of Need I am currently on page 158 of my book. The main problem has been revealed, the murder of Lee and his wife, but now we learn more about the who and why. The murder has interacted with Ellie, their neighbor, and has threatened to harm her family if he cannot have the lawsuit with the Hamilton family. These files seem to be the motive for most actions in the plot so far. Grant and his brother and sister have decided that someone should always be at the house, given someone broke in, yet didn't steal anything. This person is believed to be the murderer of Lee and his wife, trying to find the Hamilton's files. Feelings have developed between Grant and Ellie amidst all the chaos but has not become very important to the story yet.

Elaine | 6 comments It's not summer without you fd 9-copy I am currently on page 55 of my book. Whats going on is this teenager has this boyfriend that she has been with for 2 years. They do everything together. So they are convinced that they will get married after collage. The conflict is that the girls mom doesn't approve of the marriage and won't attend. So the girl convinced her dad but not her mom. The guys parents approve all the way.

Rouvana | 5 comments Dear Mr. Henshaw

I like this book so far because it is reminding me of when I was in fifth grade which is the last time I read this book. Right now in the book Leigh Botts is writing to his favorite author and telling him about what he reading and how his life is like. I predict that the author will reply back soon. This is usually the type of books I read because I lie realistic fiction.

message 11: by Kadin (new)

Kadin R. | 5 comments I am reading a book called amulet and it's about these people with amulets that have powers inside of them and there are good amulet people and bad amulet people which are the elves. What I like about this book is its use of comedy and how cool it is to which two people with amulets duke it out. What I dislike about this book is that it goes back and forth between characters over and over again so we really don't know who the main character really is in this story.
