I am so unable to find threads with that search bar. I wanted to post this in the "stupid GR functions" thread but ... whatever.

How do I unblock someone I've blocked before? I'm tired of clicking "to see this post click here."

And no, I won't tell you who I blocked. But help me unblock them!

message 2: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) Go to their profile page and at the bottom, there is the option.

It's NOT! I tried that! I go there nearly daily! This person is going to hit "top profiles" just because of me trying to &$%^*&@ unblock them!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments You can also go to your profile, and hit edit, and on the right hand side, right above where the button says, "Save Settings", it says view blocked members.
If you click on that, it shows you everyone you've blocked, and gives you the option to unblock them, Sally.

I went back and found it where Stephen said it'd be.

Now I'm imagining a hellish scenario in which GR made public my list of blocked members.

Now that, I don't care about. Hasn't everyone blocked John L?

And he has nearly 5,000 GR "friends"!

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments Three of the guys I've blocked all have over 1,000 friends. I've also blocked a pushy author, and a creepy guy from the middle east.

message 14: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I didn't block him --- just unfriended a long time ago.

Yes! It's USELESS! But other people comment about using it so I thought it was just me.

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments The search function's hit or miss.

It seems that the keyword searches that follow a word which is used alot are the hardest for it to find. The words that are used more rarely are easier... and using compounding phrases pull up some weird stuff, so I try to keep it down to one word, maybe two on occasion. I also try to change up the searches on occasion according to keyword, or if I know a person who posted something that stuck out to me, I'll run a search for that person or if I know roundabout when the post was posted, I'll run a search for the month.

I think I've been lucky for the most part.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I find that a combination of title keywords with the author's last name works the best for me. Just title words alone brings up a mind-boggling list of NOT what I'm looking for titles.

message 18: by Stephen (new)

Stephen (stephenT) It is very, very frustrating.

This is the first I've heard of John L. Evans. I've blocked two people, but no one in this group.

message 20: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments I've heard of him but he never tried to friend me. I'm. The opposite od whatever attracts that. I even put up a "boob" photo one weekend and won a bet when no one creepy tried to friend me.

Stupid phone.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

It must have been an impressive 'boob' Bun. I could't do that, I am unable to say no to friend requests.

message 23: by smetchie (new)

smetchie | 4034 comments I'm just naturally repulsive. Not complaining, really. Its my super power.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Smetch your super power obviously only works on those you want to repel.

I imagine this person is a creepy middle aged man who loves hanging out with the pre-teens in roleplay groups.

Brittomart I want to put up a boob photo!

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

That would test out your weirdo radar (attracting radar that is). Mind is pretty strong so would never tempt it.

He looks a little bit like a combination of John Cleese and Stacy Keach.
