The air is definitely charged with anticipation as we near the official release date of Queen of Shadows. I'm not sure if you've kept tabs on some of the early reviews, but there was a review (deleted by now) that made heavy claims about Rowan and Aelin. Fandom's up in flames. But seeing as we only have a few weeks ago, we shall find out soon enough.

But since I read your comment I could'nt help myself but comb through Tumblr just to get a whiff of this review. And I was glad. So. Freaking. Happy! I want the book now.

I can't even see Rowan as boyfriend material. He got too much baggage and can he really deal with Celeana dying because she's mortal and he's not? When she dies of old age what will he do? Also immortality was originally given out by the gods so they can give it as a gift too. They both have a lot of baggage and I was hoping they could take junk out together gradually but surly. Thanks for not being mad at me I can go overboard when it refers to my couples but I really do just want the best for my OTP without angering fans. I respect that you want her to be single though I wouldn't want her or Rowan to deal with another heart break

I have a huge hunch that Aelin will turn immortal by either Sarah for the sake of the plot,given to the gods,or something to due with her blood or keys. Am I crazy to hope for that? I mean a certain fae I know (cough..rowan.. cough)wouldn't have to have his heart broken because his hopefully 2nd mate died of old age. Also I still want people to vote so express your opinions please!

Either way I want Alien and Rowan to be mates for life... <3

I feel like I need the next book so bad. I so need aelin and rowan to end up together so bad, like I need food, water and books to survive. Sigh. The not knowing is the worst.
I would say the suspense is the worst but if rowan+aelin didn't happen. Hugh! I think I just gained the hebbie jeebies. It would be a horror movie to my OTP! Got to keep faith!

I wish we could just know and have our fears dissuaded because I think I might spend the book going no romantic love interest for you aelin, your only allowed to have cute romantic scenes with rowan. I would be living in denial if she chooses anyone bar him
Rowan doesn't pick and choose which parts of Aelin to accept. I feel like the scene where he tattoos her story on her back is a perfect symbol for their relationship, regardless of whether you think it's going to be romantic. He helped take her scars and turn them into something powerfully beautiful-a source of a strength and a reminder of what's important to her. That's not to downplay Aelin's own role in the reforging and coming out from the abyss--she's a bada$$--but he was a strong partner in helping that transition. She told him her whole history, and no one else has seen her as vulnerable. He smells like Terrasen.
Unless Rowan is killed off, I'm thinking/hoping he'll be the one she ends up with at the end. On the whole immortality thing here's my two cents: Mab and Mora gave up their immortality for humans they loved. Maybe instead of Aelin becoming immortal, Rowan will give up his immortality? Immortality is overrated anyway.

The relief I felt when I realised it was him, and chaol was still a bit of an asshole, the Manon and aelin scene was epic

Yes!! Incredible. I couldn't stop and I can't wait to read it again haha. Both my sister and I are SO Team Rowan and QoS gave us everything we could hope for and more...I love them even more than I did in HoF. I love the realization that Rowan smells like Terrasen and essentially is home for her. I don't see how it changes later, it seems like Sarah's made the decision. First two books I loved Dorian, but Rowan is too perfect for Aelin (and Dorian/Aelin need to remain separate and be friends/allies--I think next book they take on Maeve, and final book is a showdown with Perrington because they're going to need the Fae to beat Erawan). I think next book Aelin/Rowan discover they're mates after they finally become....intimate, and then that's that. Ugh, I can't stop thinking about it all, it was just. too. good!
Agh! I haven't read the book yet but resisting complimenting scenes of rowan+aelin is even harder! Ugh the torture! It hasn't come to Books A Million yet in my area! I mean come on! I hope its on PDF.

At least our fandom has grown from a seed to a young sap. That chaol+aelin weed better die quick. Does anyone know where I can read it on pdf without having to get an acount that requires my credit card number? Google docs and anything else that meets my needs is great! Please help me! I'm slowly dying of agony as Queen of shadows haunt my dreams!
