Joan (jlfr) | 16 comments Like many people, I love the Harry Potter series and succumbed to the temptation of purchasing the illustrated editions. While of course the text is (mostly) the same, I had comments specifically on the illustrated editions. Yet the original covers keep popping up. I just tried sneaking in the illustrated title via ISBN. Nope, the original covers still pop up. I understand that in most cases, the differences might not be worth separating the editions just for a cover change, for example. But when there are substantive differences such as in Jim Kay’s numerous illustrations as opposed to pretty much almost no illustrations in the original series, I think a distinction should be made.

Joan (jlfr) | 16 comments The isbn brings up the correct edition. However, my Read shelf shows the original edition of the Harry Potter series, not the illustrated edition.
