Like many people, I love the Harry Potter series and succumbed to the temptation of purchasing the illustrated editions. While of course the text is (mostly) the same, I had comments specifically on the illustrated editions. Yet the original covers keep popping up. I just tried sneaking in the illustrated title via ISBN. Nope, the original covers still pop up. I understand that in most cases, the differences might not be worth separating the editions just for a cover change, for example. But when there are substantive differences such as in Jim Kay’s numerous illustrations as opposed to pretty much almost no illustrations in the original series, I think a distinction should be made.

Searching by ISBN should point you to the correct edition. I can't imagine the illustrated editions have the same ISBNs as the non-illustrated ones. If I'm wrong, please give an example.
The isbn brings up the correct edition. However, my Read shelf shows the original edition of the Harry Potter series, not the illustrated edition.
