Nora Roberts is one of my favorite romance author. I absolutely love her work and have never read one of her books that I didn't like, which I've read at least 85% of her books. I didn't think that it was possible, but this book is my favorite of all the books of hers that I have read. This book has all of the elements that I love in a good book: excellent plot, murder, mystery, intrigue, and of course romance. Although it is a little long, over 400 pages, it kept me wanting more. I loved all of the characters, even Abigail's beloved dog Burt. I feel sorry for the next book that I read, because nothing for quite some time is going to compare to this one!

I just started on The Firm by John Grisham, and I'm really enjoying it. Wow what a company. So far I'm almost halfway.

I loved The Firm. It is one of my favorites of his. I lived in Memphis when they were filming, and they were actually filming in my office building. We were able to stand around and watch but Tom Cruise was heavily guarded.

I still live in Wisconsin.

An interesting take on the Vampire/Human romance. Angelo is a vampire who usually takes blood once a year on Valentine's Day. Caleb is a mortal whois havinga bad Valentine's day after nearly getting hit by a truck crossing a Washington DC street. He meets Angelo who takes him to dinner at the Restaurant in the Willard Hotel then takes him up to a room in the same hotel. they have sex and then Caleb suffers an attack of food poisoning from old fruit salad he had at his office's potluck. all sort of complications ensue from Lorik, Angelo's old lover, who he thought died with everyone else he knew in an attack about 100 years ago to Caleb planning a move to Florida, to misunderstandings. a good read.

I'd like to wish you well, but that would be a lie. HEHEHE. I will just hold my venom inside, okay?
I think I told you but Wisconsin Dells was one of my most fondest memories growing up. The people there were some of the kindest people I had met up to that point.
We went on vacation there without any plan for Spring Break while I was in high school and we lived in Chicago. We got W.Dells and there was some event going on so there was NO HOTELS, motels, nothing!
Random residents would invite us to stay at their houses. We did eventually go home with an owner of a local Bed in Breakfast. My mom, dad, and 3 of us kids. They wouldn't take money from us and they feed us all weekend long. Just some random black family that drove up from Chicago, and everyone was opening their homes to us.
I will never forget that experience nor them. God Bless them all!

I thought you lived in WI, Roger. I moved to Stevens Point in the spring of my junior year from Baton Rouge. Talk about culture shock!!
Debbie - I also loved The Witness. And I am newer to NR books but she has quickly become a favorite. I challenged myself to read as many of her books as I could last year and I will probably continue with the challenge this year. There are so many more to read!

thanks. See I don't like her Eve Roarke series. And NR's contemporary romances were hit or miss for me, But the Witness was a solid book!

This was a slower, rather sweet addition to the series. It feels like it could almost be a novella. It introduces two rather random characters, both of which I liked very much, but it was hard to see the reason for them having their own book. But that being said, I still liked it, but not very much happened. I think it's importance is in introducing us into the politics of the Nightkind world and to prepare the way for Julian and Melisande's story.

Wonderful memory, Ezi.
My brother (from Memphis) was visiting over Xmas and he commented on how nice and friendly everyone is here in Wisconsin.
We grew up in San Antonio Texas (also a pretty friendly town), but I came to Wisconsin at age 17 to attend college .. and I fell in love with winter that first year. Been living in the Milwaukee area since I graduated from college.

Hey I live in the Milwaukee area also, a native of Milwaukee here.

I like her contemporary romance - most of them but the newer paranormal's aren't doing much for me. I recently finished her Cousin O'Dyer series and really didn't care for it.

Mitchell McDeere, has worked hard all his life to get where he is now. Third in his class at Harvard Law. He's offered a job positions in all of the big law firms in New York and Chicago, but chooses a law firm in Memphis, Bendini, Lambert & Locke. As he's offered everything he never even dreamed of. After starting he soon finds, that everything isn't as it seems, and he finds himself in danger.
I loved this book. From the beginning, it was easy to see that this was going to be a great book. The writing was good. I couldn't seem to put the book away, and after finishing it, I'm still thinking about the scenarios and everything. It was nice to see this from the changing POV as it was necessary for the books plot.

I have been waiting for Janie's book for over 2 years and it didn't disappoint. Janie Kayrs is the "prophesied" one since book 1, and we are finally at the peace talk summit.
Two men want her, Kalin from the Kurjans and Zane, whose origin was unknown until now.
Wow. I didn't guess but I should have known.
Anyway Janie works to make peace in the realm while other factions work to get what they want. But in the end, things work out and Janie gets her man.
Lots of action, and I just devoured this one. I love Rebecca zanetti so this series ending book didn't disappoint. Though I see there a spinoff because IT'S NOT OVER! I knew Janie's choice but I was still a great read. I'm almost tempted to start all over at the beginning,

Otherwise I'll read:

And I've read the first one in the Dark Protectors series and liked it. Haven't had a chance to get back to it.

Great. I'll go for White Cat then, since I've had that on my TBR since forever.
