I am really enjoying this fast paced story. I like how it is about all the sisters but highlight one at a time ...
We're the D'Artigo sisters: sexy, savvy operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. But being half-human, half-Fae means our supernatural talents always go haywire at the wrong time. My sister Camille is a wicked good witch who attracts men like honey attracts flies. Menolly's a vampire who's still getting the hang of being undead. And me? I'm Delilah, a werecat who's been marked by the Autumn Lord as one of his Death Maidens. And wouldn't you know it, Karvanak--the demon general who stole the third Spirit Seal--is back. And this time, he's out for blood...
The Hags of Fate enjoy seeing me squirm. First, my boyfriend, Chase, mutters another woman's name in his sleep. Then I discover the Autumn Lord has a very special plan for me. But things go from bad to deadly when Karvanak--the Rāksasa--returns. In order to get his greedy hands on both the fourth Spirit Seal and his former associate, Vanzir, he kidnaps Chase. Now, we have to find a way to rescue the man I love without risking the safety of both Otherworld and Earth...

This book has been on my TBR list forever. So I finnaly started it and wow !!!!!! Why did I wait so long, I loved it and couldn't wait to get to next book...
My name is Gin, and I kill people.
They call me the Spider. I'm the most feared assassin in the South when I'm not busy at the Pork Pit cooking up the best barbecue in Ashland. As a Stone elemental, I can hear everything from the whispers of the gravel beneath my feet to the vibrations of the soaring Appalachian Mountains above me. My Ice magic also comes in handy for making the occasional knife. But I don't use my powers on the job unless I absolutely have to. Call it professional pride.
Now that a ruthless Air elemental has double-crossed me and killed my handler, I'm out for revenge. And I'll exterminate anyone who gets in my way good or bad. I may look hot, but I'm still one of the bad guys. Which is why I'm in trouble, since irresistibly rugged Detective Donovan Caine has agreed to help me. The last thing this coldhearted killer needs when I'm battling a magic more powerful than my own is a sexy distraction...especially when Donovan wants me dead just as much as the enemy.

Review: Homicide detective Mackenzie (Mac) Nighthorse is working undercover as a sexual submissive at The Zone. The police are hunting down a Mistress who's killing young, submissive men. Mistress Violet is prowling The Zone when she sets her eyes on Mac and she knows right away that she wants him. She's very attracted to him, but Violet wants more than just his body that he so freely offers. Vi wants to understand his mind and soul. Although Mac tries to fight her off - he ultimately submits it all to Vi. I did this as a re-read. It was just as powerful the second time reading through as the first - even knowing what was coming. Amazing to watch a 220lb broad shouldered alpha male submit to a pixie of a woman as Vi. It was fun to be back in this book with them. I really do need to get to the others in this series.

Review:
I absolutely love Debbie Macomber books because they are just so sweet and a great clean romance read. This book was a classic Debbie Macomber but a little different at the same time. Right away you knew who would end up together but she added in a little mystery into it as well. There is a spookiness about a place called Bitter End, nobody in town likes to talk about it but everyone is curious/too scared to ask. I loved this book and can't wait to read the second one in the series to hopefully find out more about the characters introduced in the first book.
Summary of book taken from Goodreads:
In "Heart of Texas", Debbie Macomber's newest six-book series, readers are taken to the ever-popular state of Texas to share in the lives and loves of residents in the ranching community of Promise, Texas. Savannah Weston led a quiet life growing heirloom roses and helping her brother with the struggling family ranch. Never in her wildest dreams did she believe that her life of solitude would be shattered by Laredo Smith, the handsome drifter who captured her heart and showed her that love can be found in unexpected places.

Review:
This one wasn't as good as the first one but it still kept my interest. Its about this friendship that develops into something more without them even realizing it with a little twist of jealousy. There is a character in this book that just really bothers me and I can't wait for everyone to realize what a cheating Liar he is and finally get rid of him. But over all a good book.
Summary of book taken from Goodreads
The folks of Promise, Texas, are kind hearted matchmakers, and they've set their sights on Ellie Sheridan and her childhood friend Glen Patterson. Ellie and Glen have always been best friends, but the sparks fly between them as the townsfolk push them together and force them to reexamine their feelings.

I was little disappointed with this one. I remember main character as funny (ok, he has little strange sense of humor) but in this one he wasn't. Kit & JX moved in together and instead of being happy, Kit is questioning everything. He's just waiting for JX to kick him out. I don't remember him being so insecure.
Also I had a feeling that murder was put on the sidelines. I didn't guess who done it. I didn't even try to guess. I just didn't care.
Guess I should reread first books to check if I remember correctly or not.

I have to say I've only read one Josh Lanyon book and it was kind of painful

This series started out slow for me but now that I am getting into the story ,I can't wait for the next one....
It’s hard to be a badass assassin when a giant is beating the crap out of you. Luckily, I never let pride get in the way of my work. My current mission is personal: annihilate Mab Monroe, the Fire elemental who murdered my family. Which means protecting my identity, even if I have to conceal my powerful Stone and Ice magic when I need it most.
To the public, I’m Gin Blanco, owner of Ashland’s best barbecue joint. To my friends, I’m the Spider, retired assassin. I still do favors on the side. Like ridding a vampire friend of her oversized stalker—Mab’s right-hand goon who almost got me dead with his massive fists.
At least irresistible Owen Grayson is on my side. The man knows too much about me, but I’ll take my chances. Then there’s Detective Bria Coolidge, one of Ashland’s finest. Until recently, I thought my baby sister was dead. She probably thinks the same about me. Little does she know, I’m a cold-blooded killer . . . who is about to save her life.

Sweet read. Not like previous ones in series, but still nice. And quick read. :D
Romy had couple of difficult months. He was in abusive relationship and he finally got his friends rescuing him. He's still afraid and closed up and only bright part in is life is Brendan. He feels safe with him and slowly starts to open up.
Brendan is very protective of his friends and family so of course when he finds out Romy is in trouble he'll help. Only problem is he starts to feel something more for him. Too bad Brendan is still in closet...

Review: Angel continues to mature and learn new things under Kael's tutelage. This book Kael has to work through his feelings about having Angel follow in his footsteps to Cambridge University like he wants or seeing what is really best for Angel. Angel has no desire to go to Uni next year. He wants to work in SIS with his "Daddy" Kael. Always interesting to watch how Angel humanizes Kael and how Kael deals with this. Also an ex lover of Kael rears his ugly head and Kael may have found his father but would it have been better if he never found out? I'm hoping this isn't the last of this series as Kael and Angel have grown on me - even though I'm not a huge fan of Daddy kink - as this series has progressed it's been easier to tune it out.

Great Job for getting those Reviews in quickly.. I hope you all are enjoying your week.

Book: Caroline's Child

Review:
This one I liked better than the 2nd one. I loved the relationship that developed between Grady and Caroline and the relationship between Grady and Caroline's child, Maggie. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book and kept me wanting more. The only thing that bothered me was that Richard the brother that left with all their inheritance money ( this is how the first book starts) is still taking advantage of everyone in Promise. At the end of this book he still isn't out of the picture completely and I just want him to be gone but at the same time it has me dying to read the next one to see what becomes of him.
Summary from Goodreads
Debbie Macomber takes readers to Promise, a ranching community deep in the Texas hill country. A good place to raise a family, Promise still has a few secrets hidden beneath its everyday exterior. In the third book of the "Heart of Texas" series, the question is: Who's the father of Caroline's child? Everyone in Promise wants to know, but no one's ever asked or ever will. Maggie's five now, and Caroline Daniels has kept her silence all these years. It doesn't change how the people in this community feel about Caroline. They're protective of her and Maggie; they care. Especially rancher Grady Weston, who's beginning to realize he more than just cares.

I cannot even say how sad I am that this is over. I did absolutely love the trilogy though. The best part about this I think was the ending. The epilogue and shades of Christian were exactly how I wanted it to end. Amazing.

Review: I have loved being in Roan's world for these last 8 books. I'm sad that the author has decided to end this series. I love a good PNR/shifter series whether it is MF or MM. This definitely fit the bill for MM. Roan is a virus child - meaning something happened either to his birth mother or to him while in utero. No one is quite sure what happened - as he is the only one. Add to that he is brash, gay and kind of a smart-ass. As always this is a multi part book with multiple cases being solved. We have seen his side-kicks and secondary characters/friends evolve as well. I would have liked to see more of Holden/Fox evolving - maybe she'll do a spin-off with him and Scott - that would be awesome. This was kind of the quiet walk into the sunset kind of series ending. While I loved it....I still want more. I know I'm kinda a pain like that :)
Now happy dance as I found out she is releasing a prequel to this series sometime this coming spring - YAY!!
