This is a cool idea! I am really excited about the movie, I think it's going to be (almost) as fantastic as the book. When it comes to actors, I like the ones who are a little less well known, so we can see the character instead of the actor on screen. If there are any who stand out to me I'll definitely add to this list!

I think he could be an excelent Fitchner :)

I see you've gone and proposed Chris Hemsworth for the role of Cassius. Funny enough, I've got Chris pinned as Darrow. Whenever I read through Darrow's lines I always imagined them coming from the voice of mighty Thor.
Now I can certainly see Paul Giamatti as our Proctor for House Mars, but Ciaran Hinds has my vote for Fitchner. He's got that grizzled look and rugged personality that suits a good Fitchner.
As for Sevro, I'm not certain who should play him, but I am certain that I don't want it to be Thomas Sangster.
@ Hemsworth is too old for Darrow or cassius.Most of the book main charcters are just entering their 20's

I like him better for The Jackal though (I would love to see Bill Skarsgard as The Jackal but now I'm thinking he's too tall :C ) Also I approve of Jack O'Connell but not as Titus.. more like Tactus?

For something different, I was thinking about casting if the books were done as an anime. Any anime fans out there? Started a new topic if anyone is interested.
For Mustang-- Cara Delevigne or Gabriella Wilde.For Octavia au Lune -- Robin Wright or Tilda Swinton.
For Lorn au Arcos -- Daniel Craig.
For Darrow -- If only Charlie Hunnam were 10 years younger, he would be perfect! Maybe they can cast him as Ragnar instead - he can look pretty fierce.
For Eo -- Holly Taylor (Paige on The Americans).
For Dancer -- Tom Hiddleston.
On second thought, Tom Hardy (Bane from the Batman movies) would make a killer Ragnar . . . but that is Golden Son . . . sorry, getting ahead of myself.

Wow not one single person of color was suggested. I love the book. If a movie is made the cast should be multiracial.
Alex Pettyfer as Darrow or Cassius - I could see him doing either. Bella Thorne as Mustang - she just needs an upgrade in the badass department.

P.S I wrote to The If List admin and they updated the status of the title to "film in development"! :D Now we just need more supporters for Red Rising to appear on the top 20 of films in development, that will attract more people to the series.
